  1. But Palace have a plan. May not look the prettiest but they can start pinging in crosses as we drop deeper and deeper and something will eventually break. When we have the ball. Well, look on the bright side. We look like Barcelona passing it around the halfway line
  2. It doesn't matter which striker you replace. Until we have the midfield or wide players close enough to support them, they're going to be crowded out. Take a center back off, Paul
  3. That's my hope. No matter what I say about him, Gabby has been able to score important goals. One more now.
  4. Yeah I do see your point of view. I just think it will be better to keep things tight for the first 45-70minutes (depending how it goes) and then change things around to try and nick a win. This villa team are incapable of playing well for 90 minutes, we seem to do it in little bursts so I'd keep things level, then change things towards the end of the game and hope we have one of those bursts. The worst part is that I completely understand where Lambert is coming from. But this Palace team has less goals than us. Before the Cardiff game I think they had only scored one goal from open play since the turn of the new year. Even if you consider all our injuries, you would think that he recognized no amount of players in the back will cover up for a bone headed error, which is what a LOT of our goals have been during this bad run. Lamberts answer used to be, "Sod it, we have to score." Now his answer is, "Well, hopefully they don't score." Whatever the situation and injuries may be, I would prefer not to become the team that sets out 5 defenders hoping to knick it from Palace of all teams.
  5. Well, it's obvious we can't lose this game. Palace are good on the counter attack, if we go at them we'll lose. Not losing this game is more important than winning imo. It's not a philosophy I like but on this occasion I think it's correct.Hoping for a point against Palace. That just gets me going What formation/team would you play then to setup for a win? We have players on the bench who can come on and change it. If we start with them all the only changes we can make are negative ones. 442 I think was what I said. Guzan Lowton Vlaar Clark Bertrand Albrighton Westwood Delph Tonev Holt whoever not named weimann Simple formation. Everyone knows what to do and who to pass it to. But hoof and pray it is That midfield of 4 will get murdered against Palaces' 5. Could just replace it with KEA and match the midfield five. Either way, it's better than 5 in the back. While we have had our defensive problems, most of them have been self afflicted. Inviting the pressure will do nothing more than inviting the inevitable flukey goal. We have had a torrential time scoring and this formation will do nothing to appease that.

Hope to it to Gabby and stretch the field or knockdown from holt. Don't think we'll try to string together any passes. Get. Excited.

  9. If you cant see the lunacy of this formatiom, then I don't know. I don't think you can possibly get a formation more negative than this
  10. Just so everyone knows, there are exactly 12 goals on that team sheet for this season. 12 **** goals.
  11. I'd rather see Tonev sky a shot than Weimann miscontrol a simple ball to his feet
  12. Definitely going to pick this up again. Would be worth it alone just to go through the single player in 1080p, but there's also not any good third person shooters for multiplayer right now and I loved the LoU MP
  13. Positivity won't make Gabby better
  14. If he plays, I'd be pretty surprised if he put in a good performance. The exact sort of team he struggles against. Palace will sit deep and play compact, taking away Gabby's game.
  15. desperate man saying desperate things. Far from it, just standard human resource management. What?! No! Paul Lambert always means everything he says to the press.
  16. Ugh. Front 3 of Gabby Weimann and Holt. I'm so excited......
  17. The last of us pretty much confirmed for PS4. Tempted to buy it again
  18. Should get a start. Tonev on the left, Albrighton on the right. Holt and whatever striker not named Weimann up top and then Westwood and Delph in the middle. Simple formation. Everyone knows what they're supposed to do. Go for it.

    Grant Holt

You could just block them. Works for me.
  20. Again, why would CNZ deny himself the opportunity to declare that he's fit and train? Why wouldn't he declare that he's fit? All we have is a response on instagram (which is still open to interpretation). If he was fit to play, wouldn't he come out and say he was fit to play or at least train? And if he is fit then why would the manager not pick him for the sake of saving money when the prize money is well over £1.5m per position in the league? Well, I have my doubts there. I think Charles was rhetorically asking, "When I'm fit, will I be able to train with them?" That's a legitimate question. I don't think he was saying, "Hey I'm fit, but they don't let me train with them." Because what crazy player would not want to at least train if they're actually fit?
  21. Que??? Helenius has been/is currently injured and only returning to the squad this week for training. Where's the lie in that? I do believe he's joking
