The only time we looked half decent was at the start of the 2nd half. Once we scored our lucky penalty we reverted to the negative, boring anti football that is the trademark of McLeish. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that when we were attacking QPR and playing football they we unable to compete. As soon as we started to defend we invited wave after wave of attacks and free kicks. Just once it would be nice to see us be the better team during a game. It's hardly as if we have played anybody half decent yet. God help us when we play a decent footballing side.

Absolutely rubbish performance. Newcastle deserved all 3 points and if it wasn't for Given they would have them. McLeish is playing the same brand of dull, boring and negative football that he did at SHA and look where it got them. To watch Villa at home it seems like they are the away team. What garbage we fans have to endure. McLeish is just a cheap MON (same boring football but he doesn't piss the money up the wall). I have no faith in this fool to improve the team and the sooner he goes the better.

Agree with you mate. To be happy to get a draw at home to Wolves in front of a pitiful attendance just shows how low some fans aspirations are.

A smaller attendance for a local derby against Wolves than in the opening game against Blackburn just goes to show how low Lerner has dragged this club's aspirations in such a short space of time. Last weeks win against Blackburn was the same false dawn as last seasons opening day win against West Ham (both of them are shit and relegation fodder). Today's football was boring and clueless just like it was under MON. No wonder the SHA fans moaned about McLeish if this is the sort of shit we can expect at every home game. Wolves looked like the home team once Nzogbia went off and Villa reverted to the shit that they played in the first half. Very disappointing and doesn't fill me with confidence.

Who gives a ****. The Captain is mainly just a figurehead these days and very rarely inspires the team. The armband is even used as a bribe by managers to try to keep their best players sweet even when they are the last person in the team that should be made Captain.

General, You say that you have never met anyone that doesn't like McLeish. I suggest you get out more. You sir disappear for weeks every time the going gets tough and your boss Lerner is almost as elusive as Lord Lucan. We don't want your fancy meaningless words on a fans forum what we want to see is positive action being taken at the club and a visible plan of continual improvement. All I can see at present is the appointment of a manager with a poor track record and the annual fire sale of our best players. Firstly they get relegated then they lose their Manager to their nearest rivals, their best players are **** off to other clubs at a knock down price and now their owner is arrested for money laundering. It's priceless!!

General, I know you won't admit it but if you don't secretly believe that Villa have made the biggest mistake in a long time by appointing Alex McLeish and that our ambition as a club has fallen in the 5 years since Randy took charge then I despair of the people at the top.
