Good sense at last. I agree with you about Villa and Everton being close on heritage, fan base and being just below that glass ceiling as far as CL goes. The only advantage Moyes would have coming to Villa is more money to spend on players. I hope you agree with that.

Coyle, Grayson.................??? Yeah were going to attract some right quality with managers like these. We need to start keeping players Randy knows this. I will be shocked if these managers are even being considered. Still think it will be a positive shock appointment! If anything is known, it is there is no need to worry. Randy and crew will not get it wrong this time. just needs to meet all interview criteria. I really hope it is going to be a positive shock appointment but if that is the case then why was a Wigan manager approached for interview?

If McLeish was appointed then Randy Lerner would have to stay away from VP and do a Mike Ashley for the duration of his contract. Other than fluking the League Cup win his major contribution to English management is to get SHA relegated twice in the past couple of seasons. I would rather shave my bollocks with a stanley knife than have his one dimensional, boring SHA type football at VP.

It's a true reflection of their low self esteem and the lack of faith and interest in their own club that they have to write into the Birmingham Mail (D Branwell of Kings Norton, Birmingham Mail 11th June 2011) to say how relieved they are that we didn't get Martinez. Why they can't write in to the local press with some useful comment about their own team's regular plight is beyond belief but I guess that having a brain the size of a pea doesn't help the situation.

You think we need a manager in this week to settle us down for a realistic 9th to 12th place finish. Where is the progress and ambition in that? We finished 9th last season after one of the most traumatic and messed up seasons we have had for quite some time so I bloody well hope that we aim higher than your suggestion.

As we go through yet another round of searching for a manager it would be interesting to know the level of season ticket sales to date compared to that of the same time in the previous 5 years. The way things are going Randy Lerner could set some sort of record for the lowest average attendance in a season as well as the highest during his tenure.

If it takes someone 9 years to realise something that was plainly obvious to most people several years ago then I would worry about giving that person a job. Could you imagine how long it would take this person to realise that something wasn't right with the team!
