What a crock of shit!! Just got back from the game having witnessed yet another dire, gutless, clueless, talentless performance from this McLeish inspired team. Get him the **** out of my club now.

Well that's them ****. It will be a long time (if ever) before they see European football again. Now they can concentrate on **** up their promotion push from the fizzy pop league.

I'll admit we played much better in the first half than in the second but a lot of that was down to the fact that Bolton are piss poor and we let them attack us in the second half and tried to defend our 2 goal lead. Played like Holland! Yeah, Jools Holland.

And on the other side of the coin we shouldn't get too upset if we do badly against 3 teams who are way above our station and a notorious bogey side. Way above our station! My, how low some people have sunk. The games against Liverplop and Arsehole are at home and 'Bogey Side' is a lame excuse used by those with no belief or aspiration to win. It has nothing to do with aspiration. It's called reality . The vast majority of Villa's trophy cabinet was won before World War 2. We havent' done anything of note for around 30 years now and Arsenal , Liverpool and Chelsea have been major players in England and Europe since 1982. They are way above our station and I haven't sunk anywhere . We are exactly where we usually are . We are an average top flight team and unless something amazing happens we probably always will be . People can sulk all they like about not being a force but that's just how things have panned out unfortunately . You can aspire all you like but if we don't have the resources then you'll be constantly disappointed . I was going to go into an 'Aim for the stars' type of quote but I can't be bothered as it would be lost on someone with little or no aspirations.

Sunderland's win wasn't down to MON's ability to motivate his team it was down to Kean's boring, negative, defend our 1-0 lead at all costs pathetic attitude to football. He deserves to get sacked for having an outlook on the game like that.

I can't believe some of the fools on this forum. Why would we want to sell Bent? He missed a couple but so do all good strikers. This is the first game in ages that he has had any service. If some morons can't spot the difference between a good striker and a poor one then there's no hope for them.

Best showing of the season by far. Bolton are the worst team I have seen all season but credit to the Vila players because they still need to stick the ball in the net and that's what they are doing. Keep it up Villa because there are some tough games ahead.

As a season ticket holder, along with my son, I always looked forward to match days. The walk to VP discussing the likely result, who might play, what the attendance is likely to be. On the way back, either happy or solemn, debating how the game went. If we won I was really happy, if we drew it depended upon who we drew with as to my mood, if we lost I was really depressed. Now I don't look forward to match day. I see it as a chore and I only go because my son and I have season tickets which cost over £1000. I expect Villa to get beat and I expect to be bored senseless watching it. The sooner this season is over the better.
