  1. talkSPORT ‏@talkSPORT 14m #Liverpool have agreed a deal for Aston Villa's Christian Benteke, talkSPORT told http://tlks.pt/GBP2kV #LFC #AVFC
  2. In The Manor Tavern pub today a ticket is being sold to the highest bidder. Just ask for Micky in the bar before the game as he has the ticket being sold. He will not sell it until close to 3pm so it will be up for grabs until then.
  3. When we win the F.A Cup we'll not play many Saturdays at 3pm.....Thursdays and Sundays.
  4. Has? Fame has only just started for you Gareth, you've always been a star on here though, nothing new......Erm....
  5. Coutinho: "The club announcer has just said you're about to come on Lambert, jump on my back I may as well start carrying you now like I will for the rest of the season" Paul Lambert: "I'm not that Lambert you muppet, It's him on the bench over there"
  6. Isn't it about time that someone made a thread titled "The next four games" ?
  7. Is it down to how the players are playing though? It could also be down to how a (takeover owner) looks at our club. No, sorry. Not wishing to piss on your chips but I don't believe its an indication of anything relating to the attempted sale of the club. I know it isn't, my fingers felt like typing and my mind egged them on. Hutton said not so long ago that he had no problem with PL and they've always spoke about his situation at the club, he's been given a chance to get back into the team and he's took it, took it bloody well too.
  8. Is it down to how the players are playing though? It could also be down to how a (takeover owner) looks at our club. Buyer: So how much are you selling the club and it's assets for Randy? Randy: Well I really would like 200 Million for them. Buyer: Can I see how you come to this valuation? Randy: Sure (hands over all the clubs files) Buyer: I see that serveral of your players will soon be out of contract and will be able to leave the club for nothing, If I were to buy the club I'd have to offer them new contracts and because I'm a new owner they'll want more money. Buyer: I'm interested in buying the club, but you'll have to get these players penned down to new deals without offering them much more than they're on now. Randy: I'll get my guys onto that right now. Buyer: Speak soon! (One can wish)
  9. Lambert is singing " Just one Coutinho, give him to me, delicious footballer of It.....Brazil"
  10. WhoScored.com ‏@WhoScored 52m Alan Hutton: Is Aston Villa’s highest rated player (7.28) in the Premier League this season #avfc
  11. Jack Grealish has given Aston Villa fans the news they want to hear about his future. The winger, who turned 19 yesterday , has aroused the interest of Chelsea but wants to remain at Villa Park. With his current deal due to lapse at the end of the season, Villa last week tabled a four-year extension to keep their prize teen talent away from the clutches of wealthier Premier League rivals. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur too are understood to be monitoring the contract situation of a player who has flourished for his boyhood club so far this term. In the latest of his three Premier League substitute outings against Hull City, Grealish’s trickery drew fouls over a 15 minute period that resulted in three opponents getting booked. VIEW GALLERY And, ahead of Saturday’s visit to Anfield, the teen has assured Villa’s fans that he’s entered contract negotiations fully intent on continuing his career at his beloved club. “I want to stay at Villa,” Solihull native Grealish affirmed. “My contract runs out at the end of the season but my eyes are on remaining at Villa. “It’s just down to contract negotiations at the moment but I’m hopeful it will come in time.” Asked whether he could foresee himself playing for another club, he responded: “No, of course not. I’m a lifelong fan. Even when I didn’t have a game during my loan spell at Notts County last season, I’d go down and watch as a supporter. “I’ve been a season-ticket holder since I was four and joined the club at couple of years later. So to be playing for Villa in the Premier League and having the fans in the Holte End sing my name like they did against Hull is a dream come true. “I’m going through one of those phases where I just can’t get enough. “Having gotten a taste of it, I’m striving for more by trying to keep playing.” http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/big-interview-aston-villas-jack-7748474
  12. Aston Villa FC ‏@AVFCOfficial 16s Breaking news: Gabby Agbonlahor has signed a new four-year deal. #AVFC
  13. Kristof Terreur ‏@HLNinEngeland 2m For those who are looking forward to Christian Benteke's comeback: I'm quite sure it won't be this weekend. #AVFC Belgium journo who knows all the players who play in England.
  14. It was reported yesterday, but it could have been days before that, who knows.... I don't know Jack Grealish, never met the kid, but I would put everything I own on him signing a contact extention with Villa. I've heard/read that he LOVES Aston Villa and if I was in his postion I would sign an extention because I LOVE Aston Villa. I personally have no worries over Jack.
  15. 2 journos have tweeted that there is some good news for Villa fans coming up later, it's either about Benteke, a takeover, contract extentions being signed or Jack Woodward has lost his voice.... Oh, or Joe Cole has been fitted with bionic legs so he can no longer get injured,
  16. My first thought when I woke this morning and seen we had signed no one before the window closed was "oh well, we've had a good window anyway, could have done with 1 more midfielder, but it isn't the end of the world" Now I've come home from work to this.....Tell the kid to feck off and sit on ManU's bench. I do however believe all the asking for 80k per week is down to his agent. Agents are the evil in football.
  17. No club in thier right mind would release how much they have to spend to the world. Prices will go up on that fact alone.
  18. Micky Arison is in the Mediterranean.......
  19. B/R: When it comes to something like the stadium naming rights, is maintaining consistency ever a consideration? TF: Our broader partnership strategy is about finding the right partners who believe in what we do and where we’re going and who want to be a part of that in the long term. We choose our partners very carefully. Our goal is not just to create one lucrative contract and then end the relationship. Our goal is to build that relationship’s strength over time, so that our partners are so satisfied that they renew the deal. When it comes specifically to the naming rights relationship, I think it’s a really difficult decision to take a stadium where you play and put a sponsor’s name on it. We took it very seriously at the time. Because our stadium is a new build, and has always been known as the ‘Emirates Stadium’, I think it makes all the sense in the world that the name stays consistent. We’re trying to build a perception around that stadium that it’s home, and I think keeping that name is important. That is what he said back in May when asked about stadium naming rights.
  20. I personally think its because of what he said in an article at the end of the season about Lambert....Since then Mat Kendrick hasn't really had any inside info on the Villa...He has a new role at the Birmingham Mail now, I have no idea if it's a step up though, Gregg Evans is now the Villa reporter for the Brum mail, last season he was the SHA reporter for the Brum mail....Step up for him.
  21. Looks like the article wasn't meant to be released until 9:30PM. Seems a little strange to me that Tom Fox would come here, a new owner could come at any point and he be out of a job.
  22. You sure it wasn't Mat Kendrick wanting a goodbye hug off each of the players seeing as he no longer the Villa reporter for the Brum Mail? I'm guessing it was 10 minutes each time as he wouldn't let go.
