  2. Christopher Plummer and Betty White my two for the year. One at the start one at the end.
  3. Wow. I went to see NWH last Wednesday as I didn't want to be spoiled and I was excited. Great fun and one of Marvel's best. Cemented my belief that Tom Holland is the one true Spider-Man. Difficult to talk about it without spoilers so if you don't want anything given away do not look at any of my spoiler posts in here. Especially the one below this. You've been warned.
  4. Watched another 1999 film today that is very good... 10 Things I Hate About You. Heath Ledger's first role I think? Maybe Joseph Gordon-Levitts too?
  5. Played the new map Caldera today. Got a few issues.... a lot of bugs they need to sort out. A lot. But the gameplay was really fun and its lit better than Verdansk without it being egregiously bright up slopes as Verdansk was. After getting an extra day early access a few streamers are now whining about the map as it's clearly dawned on them it's harder to charge around going UAV Bounty and repeat because it's far more open and not anywhere near as campy so they can latch onto super easy kills. Shock
  6. I've just been reminded of the Macho Man Randy Savage Dragon mod some of the Skyrim modding was god-tier
  7. Watched two very iconic and influential films (both on DVD) on Saturday at my sisters. The Matrix and Airplane!... as she had never seen The Matrix before. Couple of effects from Matrix don't hold up but it's a 22 year old film and it's still excellent. Airplane! is laugh a minute stuff. I could spend an hour talking about tiny details that make me laugh like when Robert Stack steps out of the mirror in that brilliant shot, or the fact that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is somehow in his basketball gear after he's taken ill and the three pilots/navigators get dragged backwards to the back of the airplane without any of the passengers noticing. I've watched it a hundred times and I'll watch it 100 more
  8. Seahawks away. Always a tough game even when we're good and they're not. They're bad and we're okay this year but already have a win against us. We basically have no linebackers, are missing Deebo and the right side of our O-line is dogshit. Expecting a battle. Hopefully Seattle play down to it all rather than trying. A win really sets us up for the playoffs and a loss opens the door back up for the rest of the NFC to barge back in
  9. After last night the Jets have the 4th and 5th pick and the Giants have the 6th and 7th pick. Boom or bust potential here
  10. Seattle gone full 49ers. We've seen so many underwhelming and shit seasons and Hawks fans are currently losing their shit at everyone and everything. Their only NFC win was against us (standard). Some built up karma for the last decade 49ers will lose to them again next week probably. If we can win for once we start to turn up the pressure on the Rams
  11. That skill level up sound when you gain a level in Sneak or Archery when you ping a bandit in the head with an arrow >>>> Then his mate comes by, sees his buddy dead with an arrow through his face and goes "Hmmm. Must be the wind."
  12. 49ers somehow back in the wildcard race. Pretty much everyone outside of the Lions could get in currently. Also watching the Seahawks turn into the 49ers mid-season has been long overdue karma
  13. Not currently playing it per se but might well do this weekend.... the Witcher 3 is one of my favourite ever games. And has the best two DLCs of any game I can remember
  14. Another reason to sneak is evening the numbers disadvantage. In a cave with bandits you'll get their attention and then 5 of them are on you at once, one of whom is an Archer and another as a mage. So your best option is to pick them off first anyway...
  15. I tried TH Barbarian type on it then saw an enemy a way away and thought, I'll weaken them with arrows first and then slipped totally into sneaky Archer territory. It's hard NOT to when the sneak attacks are so effective with perks. Swear you can get x30 sneak attack damage with a certain dagger right?
  16. Had a quick scan for a topic explicitly on this as we had the Warzone one.... interested to know what people think of Vanguard that have it. Myself I'm really enjoying playing Multiplayer on it. Campaign: fun largely, Midway seemed like a massively missed opportunity. I played a lot of Heroes of the Pacific when I was younger and I was hoping for something similar. Also I'd like more missions as the Vanguard team. You only play two missions as the team as a whole. Felt like the characters were good and worked well together... and the whole campaign is the characters solo. Would defo love some more missions as the foursome. Zombies feels massively underdeveloped at the moment. One of the big pluses for me on Cold War was the Outbreak Zombies mode was good for levelling weapons and helped set a narrative throughout with all the in game events for it. In Der Anfang it feels like you can do a run of missions and then exfil and that's it. In fact at level 10+ for me it barely feels like your weapons do serious damage to the zombies unless it's a crit attack. The pieces for a good zombies mode are there but it feels like more progression is needed and more serious updates to the weapon damage. Multiplayer is the making of the game. I've had loads of fun playing MP as the destructible environment of the buildings makes it interesting, all of the maps bar two I hate (Berlin and Sub Pens) are fun to play on and the game has the three modes (Tactical for Slower, Assault for Regular and Blitz for Frantic) where you can choose if you want a better game speed. Unfortunately the weapon levelling is tediously slow. Havent got round to camo challenges much but seems like longshots on SMGs and Shotguns and Handguns are a thing... hooray Couple of guns seem pretty broken right now so expecting a fix pre-integration with Warzone... Combat Shotgun in particular is apparently a sniper when ADSing and as devastating as the R-9 dragons breath was in Warzone. Be interested to hear from others about the game and what improvements youd like to see
  17. Falmer and Chauruses when you're in a dimly lit cavern off-guard. Little bastards. My first fight against a dwarves centurion when it moved i jumped a foot in the air The music when something attacks you in the wild is always anxiety-causing cos you don't know if it's a wolf/skeever/mudcrab or a spriggan/troll/dragon suddenly jumping you.
  18. Spriggans were the worst though. Everything would go bright then youd be attacked by this bloody tree demon
  19. Alteration and conjuration spamming when you're running through the wilderness to boost your levels also loved to get my shield out against crap opponents just to stat pad blocking skill tree. Man I miss playing Skyrim
  20. I meant a destructible environment not indestructible... autocorrect changed it. I reckon itll run off the old MW place it does now Dante. Cold War didn't change it so I don't see Vanguard doing it either. Expecting the STG and Combat Shotgun to be instantly meta in WZ. Type 100 will be nerfed but feels a lot like the Fennec or AS VAL where the clip size renders it useless in trios and quads
  21. Interested to see the new map Caldera after a year and a half in Verdansk. Hopefully it's a fun map to play on with cover and not too many rat holes. Vanguard weapon integration will be interesting given Vanguard weapons have 10 attachments... although 2 are perks. Will they keep that or have it as a 5 attachment limit? I also hope but am not expecting the environment to be indestructible in places too like in MP
  22. Yeah not playing OBJ winds me up. Over-packed numbers in free for alls too.
  23. Been 10 years since it came out.... gonna have to check my Steam account for hours poured into it.
