  1. Matt Stafford and the superstar LA Rats losing their fifth game straight to the Niners who have had a losing record in 3 of those games. Wish Shanahan thought he was playing McVay every week P.s. **** off back to Missouri you wronguns
  2. Seems Hugh Jackman is in everything I'm watching atm. Free Guy, The Prestige and yesterday I rewatched Logan (Disney+). An excellent send off for a beloved character. Dafne Keen was what about 12 in this? Absolutely killed it. The action scenes alone justify why some superhero stuff needs "an R-rating" as our American friends would say. The seizure scene in OKC where he sticks his claws through some mooks' heads is amazing but they should collapse right away, not after Charles stops seizing everyone in place
  3. Watched The Prestige last night for probably the 9th time. Could be Nolan's best film.
  4. Rams vs 49ers in primetime for no reason I can see. Rams by 50
  5. I really liked Dalton as Bond. Licence to Kill has always been up there in my favourites.
  6. 49ers against Cards and the Cardinals are pretending that Hopkins and Murray won't be playing. Give it up, you're fooling no-one. Hopefully have Kittle back too so fingers crossed
  7. Also if I'm going to get reallllllly nitpicky then when the Front Man deduces he's been in his apartment because of the phone being put down on the other side, does he not have some sort of cleaner who keeps his rich apartment up to date and his whisky decanter stocked up? Would he not assume one of them was dusting it and put it back wrong?
  8. Also notable is Anjelica Huston who is magnificent in The Witches and in full face prosthetics for a good portion of it which looks uncomfortable as hell
  9. England are a ridiculous limited-overs side, be it T20 or ODI. Shame its come at the expense of being a dreadful test side that can't bat out a day
  10. England and Pakistan look a step ahead of everyone else in the tournament so far. Afghanistan are far from a bad side (in fact theyre probably more dangerous than an Ireland or a Bangladesh by a good margin) but when they're the 3rd worst side in a World Cup group you know it's not the bumpiest of rides for you. India will find a way into the final somehow probably. Been surprised with how poor the Windies have been
  11. Watched Only Murders in the Building earlier with my sister, just binged through the season. Nice and entertaining, nothing particularly special. Has some nice appearances from people like Nathan Lane and Tina Fey.
  12. I was just coming to talk about Lightyear given I saw the trailer tweeted out yesterday and it gave me a lot of good vibes
  13. Tolkien on Dune "It is impossible for an author still writing to be fair to another author working along the same lines. At least I find it so. In fact I dislike Dune with some intensity, and in that unfortunate case it is much the best and fairest to another author to keep silent and refuse to comment." Not for everyone ey
  14. Speaking of Grand Budapest Hotel, Ralph Fiennes is glorious in that
  15. Yeah Wes Anderson is very much a marmite director as his style is so distinct. I heard someone say the only knock on Paddington 2 is that it was too much like a Wes Anderson movie
  16. Some big oof moments in that episode. Getting you to care about the characters is a real strength of the show.
  17. The Batman looks pretty good. Looking forward to watching that
  18. Finally watched Squid Game after coming back off holiday. Really enjoyed it. Made Netflix major bank so you fan guarantee a second season will be coming asap
  19. Not a huge horror fan - far from it in fact - but the original Scream is on my green list. Great fun. Scream 2 also decent but worth watching for Luke Wilson playing Billy in the Stab film alone
  20. Will Poulter cast as Adam Warlock for GOTG3. I think he's an excellent actor and will almost certainly be great in the role
  21. Watched Bond last night. Man oh man is it good. Really enjoyed it and felt a lot shorter than it's running length. Glad I went to see it off the bat.
  22. That's fair. It's getting more mainstream appeal now though so the recognition is there. Speaking of which does anyone know if The Host is on any streaming services???
  23. I've not yet. Is it on any streaming services? One of the incredible things about Parasite is that entire house was a set. It's absolutely incredible
