  1. I like Him but for a winger his crossing normally is very poor. Sadly, neither he nor Bjarnason will have the opportunity to repeat this in the PL.
  2. So he should've said "new labour ferkin' capitalism" - I'm happy to agree on that.
  3. This happened in 2004 when we had a Labour socialist govt so not sure why this is a becuase of the "Tory ferkin capitalism"? Not sure what it's got to do with football either.

  5. I agree on the Carroll point but O'Hare clearly isn't ready and the loan was sensible. We defend as a team and when you've got a powderpuff like Hourihane it's unlikely to be solid.
  6. Interesting and worrying stats over the last two matches: AV Opp Shots 14 27 Shots on target 2 13 Goals 0 6 Wow - two shots on target in the last 180 mins of football!
  7. Totally agree with this and previous quotes asking "what has he done wrong?". OK, the gate issue but if he has mental health problems then shouldn't we be supporting him? Regardless of the reasons, he's a far better player than Hogan and if handled properly would be a real asset. It seems it is only at AVFC that he's failed! Brucie's fault or his?
  8. Not a popular view on her but I've always thought that Bacuna is better than Thor. Another Brucie master stroke.
  9. Rory DL is our best RB but "I know better" Bruce won't accept the obvious.
  10. Edit comment is exactly right. The Mail also tried to make this sound more dramatic a statement than it really was. He is clearly referring to being with the U23s NOT Villa!
  11. Yes, weak in the challenge and also when the ball was in the box at one point he misjudged a straight forward catch and ran under the ball.
  12. Gollini was better and at least young enough to be a prospect.
  13. Totally agree. Madness to take a risk on two unproven keepers. What an earth was he thinking?
  14. No, further proof that he is a Poundland keeper who doesn't do what he's told - still Brucie's fault tho!
  15. Poor judgement by SB. Bacuna was way better, more experienced, more versatile and less cost!
  16. "......I'd argue that Gardner or Bjarnason could do a decent job of holding in the absence of Jedi." Are you serious? Gardner is miles off the pace and watches games go by him. Bjarnason looks to have some promise but as an industrious attack minded player. He simply doesn't have the physique or mindset to be the destroyer.
  17. Far better than Johnstone but (sadly in my opinion) it won't happen.
  18. I agree with thIs and very well reasoned. The only point I disagree on is Bacuna. I think his versatility and willingness are very much under valued.
  19. Hello 'arry - have a good bank holiday. x
  20. "No" in every instance! In truth, we don't know and will never know. What we do know is that RDM was truly awful. Playing people out of position, a totally unbalanced set-up etc. We were right to get rid of him and get some stability with SB. We now need to stop this constant sacking the manager in the hope of instant success and recognise that building a team takes time and requires the whole set-up to gel (on the pitch and off it). We aren't there yet and like most people I've been very disappointed with the buys and the performances but let's give it time and I'm sure it will come right.
