  1. How can you say that when every game we play with the kids (many of whom are 20+) we loose ? The sooner the blinkers are off about these kids the better. The more we rely on them the worse the results. Last season as well as this. I totally agree with this people seem to be blind to some of the performances these kids are putting in. Albrighton has consistently failed to under achieve (I don't count the odd game as being good enough), Bannan is light weight, when we played Herd at LB at Wolves he was so poor he had to come off, Baker was an accident waiting to happen against Chelsea.....
  2. I'd say that Dunne's responsible for 50% of the goals we concede and McLeish for the remaining 75%!
  3. Quite shocking really but the most disgusting is King Kenny of the Kop (KKK)! A manager who has consistently mishandled the Suarez affair from start to finish and has made a clearing in the woods of himself and LFC at every turn and knocked millions off the value of the LFC brand - incredible how he's retained his job!
  4. After a really promising start to his VP career Marc's standards seem to have slipped and I find myself wondering whether he's really got what it takes to make it in the Premiership. I started to have my doubts watching him struggle against lower class opposition in Hereford earlier in the season and don't think he's really worried any LBs this season. In truth I think he's really a good Championship player. In his defence he's a worker but to make it at the top you really need a weapon in your armoury that scares your opponents i.e. pace, skill, strength. In all honesty Marc doesn't have any of these consistently enough. Could we really see him worrying any of the LBs at the top 6 clubs in the same why that the likes of Young, Valencia, Lennon and even Downing have? Sadly I think not although I know he's young and maybe worth persevering with. I'd be interested in the thoughts of others?
  5. Richard, I agree with most of what you say about Delph and in fact I'm still hopeful that he'll come good if played in the right role. Playing devils advocate however, he was indeed considered a bright prospect and Man City did make a bid BUT even more of the top managers didn't (even twitcher 'arry didn't give him a mention). The point is MON did and it appears got it wrong and blew yet another £7? £10? £12? million. Maybe I'm worng but I don't see MON coming on for Delph anytime soon.
  6. Scottie_villa, it good to see that someone else is prepared to look at the facts rather than resort to the unintelligent "he's crap!" view.
  7. Congratulations to the numpties - they've not only managed to make us a laughing stock (I still cringe when I think of the VP demonstrations when AMc was approinted) but now also managed to distract our manager before an important game. True Villa fans?
  8. I thinks it's a good and unbiased article. If the team had half the positivity that we have away from home we'd be top 8 at the moment without a doubt. So why are we so poor at home? Quite simple, clowns that turn-up wanting to boo players like Warnock and see McLeish fail. And to compound the problem we've now got media seeking "fans" setting up a McLeish out campaign! I for one am fed-up of the negativity and the only thing that's keep me away from VP are the clowns who just want to see us fail. Enjoy your protest guys and I look forward to the cringe-worthy TV and press coverage - I only hope we don't win and ruin your 15 minutes of fame.
  9. I couldn't agree more Villafromluton. And as for being peed off because he was replaced by Heskey - we actually played better IMO when Heskey came on!
  10. AMc was right - Ireland should of blocked the cross or at least had a half decent attempt at blocking it. If AMc took him off because of his response then good for him - he deserves it.
  11. Good reply Holtelower I'm sick of this constant moaning and re-writing of history - under Houllier we were USELESS. People seem to remember this beautiful footballing team that he was turning us into - all I remember is watching the ball being passed from side to side by the back four. Also, you forgot to mention Gabby being injured - although he wasn't good enough to get into the team under Houllier.
  12. I must admit I was wrong about Ireland he's really starting to show how committed and creative he can be and should definitely be one of the first names on the team sheet. We should also remember to give credit where due to AMc for motivating him and getting the best out of him (and taking the risk!) - Well done Alex you're a God
  13. I think we need to remember the mess that we were in last year before being too critical of AMc. Under Houlier we had players falling out, Gabby not deemed worthy of a starting position, kids being played when they were clearly out of their depth, passing the ball around at the back with no forward progression and the Love-in with LFC - it was really dire! To his and Randy's credit we played the financial get out of jail card with the signing of Bent (although apparently he wasn't Houllier's first choice!) and IMO this is what saved us from relegation. AMc has brought some stability to the team, has blooded some youngsters in a managed fashion (in stark contrast to Houllier) having lost arguably our 2 best players in Young and Downing. I don't accept this talk about we are always negative - it seems to me the easy thing to say without foundation. We can always talk about what a brilliant team we would of been under Matrinez or the like but I for one am prepared to give AMc the benefit of the doubt in what are difficult financial times. UTV
