I reckon Paul Lambert has got money to spend, but he's tricked people into thinking we have a 'sell to buy' policy. Collins was on his way out, the Vlaar deal was 99% complete, and then I reckon he chose to wait to sell Collins before Vlaar was brought in. Now other teams think we have no money, so when we come to buy someone, they wont try to get more and more money out of us.

I backed up all my details over the weekend, did a factory reset and then loaded my contacts/etc back onto the phone. So far, the texting has actually been okay, but my phone still overheats quite a bit and, a few times in the past few days, it has just frozen completely. I might give Samsung/O2 a call if it persists.

My S2 is doing my head in. I have a problem when recieving long text messages (the first half of the text will be normal, but then it will cut off the rest and the second half of the text will be from an old text that I've received :S), it keeps overheating and occasionally the screen goes black and I have to take the battery out to get it working again. GRRR

I agree with you Shillzz, towards the end of the season he started to play much better. If it's true that he's willing to see out his last year, and we can't find any takers for his supposed 45k p/w wages, then I don't mind us sticking with him for one final season. When he was playing central midfield last year, I joked with my mates that McLeish had found his cheap Stan replacement. He did play pretty well, if not spectacular, in CM. I just hope he doesn't score too many headed own goals this season!

Do we know that Makoun hasn't bothered learning the language? Or could the fact that he's not been given a squad number be because there are still problems with him coming back into the country and the club don't want to give him a squad number incase he ends up being sold?

I completely agree. Irrespective of his lifestyle, he is probably going to be one of Englands striking options for the next ten years. Fletcher has been better in Premier League out of the 2. its just Carroll gets mediahype as being better player as he plays for liverpool. thinking about it i think Bent and Fletcher are too similar to play together To be fair, Carroll got some media hype when he was at Newcastle aswell

It is a pretty crazy situation. There hasn't been a word about him on the OS. I reckon the club have just forgotten he exists and Lambert doesn't even know about him, and soon, someone will remember him and think 'Shit! I can't tell Lambert that we forgot to bring a player back off loan, he'll go mad!' Meanwhile, Makoun is stuck abroad, frantically calling Alex McLeish, trying to force out a few English words to get him back in the country. McLeish, of course, is not helping the situation by replying in Scottish. *ring ring* 'Och, whuus this cawlin mee?' 'Errrrr, bonjour, McLaaish, errrrr, eees Jeandeux' 'What tha fook did you seeey laddie? Someone should show Lambert a picture of Makoun in his jumper. That's all you need to know about him.

The player is apparently worth 9m Euros on the open market. He isn't going to be as good as a Vidic or Kompany, but if he is another Mellberg then I will be delighted! I think he'll be 'our Hangeland'. A good, solid Premier League defender that, on occasion, will be praised for his performances, but is not quite good enough for the teams challenging for the title.
