TX tells us that we have no bank loans. Well we have 2 arrangements with Maquarie Bank forwarding money in exchange for the outstanding amounts due in the future from the sales of players. I don't know what others think but this situation we've got ourselves into has completely lowered expectations and means we are going to have to rely on the youth of our club. In fact we're going to have to operate like we used to all those years ago when we brought through players like Little and Deehan and Gidman and Shaw just to name a few. I really enjoyed it then. I think we can create a trench mentality. I think we're going to be OK. I'm glad Bruce at least has stayed, we need his experience now. The time has come to all stand together no matter what we think and help our great club through this, I'm sure we can. Remember who really owns this club not some fly-by-night Chinaman with no money, US THE FANS that's who. We'll be here long after he's gone UTV

If we think about this logically then the players he expects to sell are not being photographed by the Villa photographer in Portugal, ie Jack and Albert. This is obviously deliberate

I'm not sure Forest will be challenging yet but definately Boro and I reckon Leeds may well be a factor. Brentford also may be there or thereabouts but there is nothing there to scare us and I think we will be right up there

"Just about made the play-offs"? I don't think so, we were assured of the play-offs with about 6 games to go. I'm sure you would accept the same next season. For all the changes to the squad and we don't yet know the full picture, I still think Bruce is the right man to achieve it. Any other man would be a much bigger risk in my opinion

Do you see the upside of anything? This news obviously means things are not as bad as first thought. Blimey last week apparantly we were heading for Armegeddon. This is POSITIVE news even if you don't like the player it still means we are planning for next season not just worrying how we pay the tax bill!

Loved his interview, brought a lump to my throat. He obviously loves the Villa and I .love him for that - legend. This news also tells us things aren't so bad and of course Bruce is staying. All in all a good day at last!
