It's really interesting to read the different ideas folk have regarding the new manager. No matter who it is I'm sure 50 or 60% will disagree so I don't envy the owners who have to make the decision. I would hope whoever they pick will get 100% support however I somehow doubt it!!!

Only part of SHA's punisnment is for ignoring the soft embargo placed on them. The main issue was the FFP part of it, ie making too much of a loss over a 3 year period. We are in the same boat and we must be promoted to avoid it. It's unpalatable I know but we can't ignore it.

Hope you're on the FFP panel that decides then!! I am led to be believed it is is a very real possibility!

Yes We too have broken FFP rules and are likely to be deducted 12 points next season if we are not promoted. The directors are well aware!

I won't get involved with all the insults and name calling and I do believe that Bruce has helped to at least stabilize the club under very difficult circumstances but recent performances are just nowhere near what we need. We have a great squad and a change of manager is critical. Thank you Steve for bringing us this far, you were close last season ( in fact missing out may have been a blessing in disguise), but now is the time to go. Act now or no promotion and a 12 point penalty next season. It's a no brainer I'm afraid

Wow there are some opinions on this thread aren't there. I'm not sure some of us get where we are at the moment. Collins on a free for 3 months with not too high wages is a no brainer for me, We are just not in a position to get better players in till January. Apparantly it's all Bruce's fault. Wow, We're 7th in the league with new players bedding in and a fantastic chance of promotion, Are we Villa fans getting together and making this season a really good one or are we trying to tear it all apart? Well I know where I am! Come on people Support the team/manager/owners/everyone.

No such thing as a hollow victory in this league. Every win is precious. It's a horrendous league to get out of no matter how good you are!

"It's only Rotherham" is a very dangerous way of looking at it. Anyone can beat anyone in this league. Bruces thinking re Jedi at CH will be that Rotherham are very good at set pieces and although Tuanzebe has many very good attributes, heading the ball away is not one of them. I know you all want Bruce out but I think he's got this one right= we'll all know in a couple of hours I guess!
