  1. After tonight, they all deserve criticism, him included.
  2. Hopefully if we get a new striker in, who actually scores goals, then we can stop posting about this loser.
  3. He's the leader of the official opposition. Pointing out what the Govt. is doing, is what he's there for. As for saying what Labour would do, well they are voicing their opposition to Trumps proposed ban. Find fault with Corbyn if you will, but he's been pretty open on plenty that he would prefer the Govt to do on many issues.
  4. The hate and bile sown by the Daily Heil and other hate monger is reaping a bitter harvest in this country. Sad.
  5. Thought he was pretty useless. Powder puff tackling again. Preston simply ran through us for their first goal. He simply tracked back with no attempt to stop the impetus of the attack or the shot that resulted. Bloody awful player.
  6. Disagree. He's putting up some opposition to the Tory " Party before country" mantra. A little late perhaps, but welcome all the same.
  7. As per the last two question perhaps the questions should have been , " not try to remain in the single market /fail to negotiate a new trade deal" and " leave customs union / fail to make own trade deals. Both of which seem the most likely outcome at the moment. Those original questions were both loaded, in that the alternatives given were positive, when they are looking decidedly the opposite.
  8. If there is a swing in public opinion, and it wouldn't take much. Then the remainers could well become the new majority . Politicians might then become emboldened to reject any deal offered . An internal crisis within the Tory Party might ensue, and then all bets are off. What a bloody mess this country is in .
  9. Saved us when we were in freefall as a club, and with a pretty average team, took us to within a whisker of pipping a world class Liverpool team to the title. Only the best managers can do that. In a sport that can be both brutal and cynical, he showed that nice guys can win. A true gentleman and a great servant of AVFC, who came to this clubs aid in its hour of need. Thanks for the memories Graham.
  10. I was referring to Jamaican Villan calling Nigel Spink. a "so called Villa fan." My comment about him being a Villa Legend, was about Spink, not Gabby.
  11. The hidden agenda for some parties, is the gradual destruction of the NHS. Remember that, and a lot of what is happening to it, makes sense.
  12. Well said Nigel. He's no "so called " Villa fan. A true Villa legend. If this guy is our front man during the African Cup of Nations tournament, we can kiss goodbye to any chance of promotion. So depressing that he's still here.
  13. It's possible to over analyze players shortcomings. Sometimes they just aren't very good footballers. Westwood is a perfect example. He's just not very good.
  14. I'm sure they do. But you get my point. In fact it is only a few years ago people were saying the Tories would never get back in. I didn't believe that about them then. And I don't believe it about Labour now.Politics is very very unpredictable. Look what's just happened over the pond
  15. Politics can change very very quickly. He's there, he's elderly .He wont be there forever. Who knows who the next leader will be. If it's someone with even a smidgeon of charisma, who connects with the mood of the electorate, then voters will start to gravitate back to Labour. Politics can be quite a deep subject, a large section of the electorate however, are sadly, pretty shallow. I'm also a believer in the old adage, that Governments lose elections, opposition parties don't win them.I have every faith in the current inept Governments ability to do just that.
  16. The option being shite to shiter.
  17. Every time I see this guy play. I hope it will be the last time. One day it will be
  18. Second Division player at best. Get rid. Gabby can carry his bags.
  19. The value of the pound and rising inflation might suggest otherwise.
  20. That would double his entire Villa career total . Don't hold your breath.
  21. Not true. If we put in our NHS, a remarkably efficient organization. The same amount of funding re GDP that other developed countries do, then most of the NHS's cash woes would simply not exist. We simply underfund the NHS .I can't help feeling that this is by design sometimes. So that the kind of myths you mention can be peddled by those politicians and right wing media who would like to see its demise. It's more a question of priorities really. Tax cuts or more for the NHS.
  22. Some of us think we are getting results in spite of those players, not because of them. Good teams constantly assess their weaknesses, even when results are okay. That way any improvement is more likely to be sustained. It's not negative, simply the sensible thing to do. Hutton ,Westwood and Gabby, should, and probably will, be replaced over time with better players.I don't necessarily think Bruce "trusts" them. More a case of having few options other than to play them at the moment. January may change that. For now I hope they all play to their maximum ability, limited though that may be.In Bruce we trust.
  23. Simply not true. When a Tory Government is elected, As sure as night follows day,a crisis in the NHS will follow. Then Labour gets back in, and adequate funding is put back in. Voila, crisis over, waiting lists down. The Tories are to the NHS as Thatcher was to the miners, would be a far better analogy.
