Have we bid for Gabriel Martinelli yet

    Emile Smith Rowe

Shame we can no longer offer them Samatta to sweeten the deal
  5. Had my first jab this morning and later this week I'm going to see my parents for the first time in almost 18 months. They both have 2 jabs and finally feel comfortable enough to travel and more around among people. Good stuff!
  6. Benzema has looked a shadow of himself during this tournament so fully expect him to score the winning goal tonight.
  7. Our fans are like newborn kittens compared to the River Plate ones tbh
  8. You never know but bit of a difference compared to Sanches who had his breakthrough at the 2016 Euro's as a 18 y.o kid and then got a huge money move to Bayern München with massive expectations and media focus. Alvarez is 21 and would come here as a rotation option for a mid table side on the up where all the focus is on Grealish.

    Douglas Luiz

You watch Lille and Sanches a lot? Fwiw he missed almost half the season due to injuries and played at both RM, LM, ACM & CM when he did play. And it was much of the same the season before that up until the season was abandoned.

    New kits 21/22

Strong Fiorentina vibes for the new Anderlecht kit
  11. And without that clause we would have gotten a lot more, or kept him. Berge was a "above their stature" signing and a coup for Sheffield so he might very well have put in a favorable get out clause. But yeah, while built like a tank he's not the type of DCM some are asking for, he's more of a link up player who likes to drive forward from deep and who's good with the ball and pretty mobile once he get's up to speed. He's still young thou so I get why bigger clubs see him as a interesting prospect. He's someone I wanted us to sign the summer before he went to Sheffield, now it would be down to price and for £10m or so I'd absolutely be up for it.
  12. Yeah u never know with relegation clauses, we had to sell Gana for very little
  13. Possibly Eden Hazard as well. He might be out of form and not fully fit but he'd still be a loss.
  14. CR7, Pepe and Fernandes sobbing
  15. It's also very southern Spain to only do the speaker announcements in Spanish despite the fact that it's 2 non Spanish speaking nations playing Granted the Portuguese fans will understand it anyway.
  16. I plan to go back there sometime soon when the world is back to normal-ish. Dream would be to watch the Betis-Sevilla derby, preferably at the Benito Villamarín since Betis is my team in Spain.
  17. Apparently I'm an Explorer now, this calls for a celebration!
  18. Yeah it's silly hot. Spent some time there and in Granada that's in the same region. One night we had just below 40 °C outside our flat. (Was a pharmacy across the street with one of those green signs and a big digital thermometers) Granted is was in late July/early August. Think they moved it from Bilbao due to some Covid regulations regarding fans but I remember the Basques being unhappy about it and claiming politics. Not sure why they are playing at the Olympic stadium but I know both Seville clubs have been renovating their stadiums so might be due to construction.
  19. They are playing at that silly Olympic stadium rather than on one of the 2 really good stadiums in the city that belongs to Sevilla and Betis. Awful pitch and enormous running tracks. One reason as to why the game has been so pedestrian might be that it's been almost 35 °C in Seville and it's still quite hot.
  20. Wow the ref really missed a blatant yellow card there on the guy pulling Lukakus jersey
