  1. Diaby with another joke of a performance, off he trots.
  2. We get away with it but we’ll still continue to play slow turgid football the rest of the half no doubt.
  3. Whether this counts or not we’ve been an absolute joke all afternoon.
  4. Olsen keeping us in it again. The fact he’s probably been our best player shows how utterly shite everyone else has been.
  5. Watkins playing like he does when he plays for England.
  6. At least Cash had a go. No one else wants to.
  7. Why doesn’t someone just effing shoot, FFS.
  8. Good stop by Olsen to be fair. We have contributed nothing to this first half, we should be ashamed. Brighton have nothing to play for and have had several chances, I don’t even really remember a shot from us. It simply isn’t good enough. We can’t keep playing like this for the rest of the season. You’d think we were the ones stuck in mid table with nothing to play for rather than Brighton.
  9. We’re playing like we have nothing to play for which is far from the case.
  10. Why the f*co didn’t Ollie just shoot straight away. Waste!
  11. To be fair even if we had a big squad we’d be hard done by. Probably about 10 players out now. When everyone is fit our squad is pretty good.
  12. Another injury, I should have put a bet on, it’s so predictable now.
  13. Carlos really looks like he can’t kick a ball properly at times, unbelievable.
  14. Another mug of a referee. Why do we get so many clearings in the woods reffing our games.
  15. Depends how we're playing. If we're just knocking long balls like we were v Chelsea last week for the most part then Duran is a good option for that. If we actually try to play football which I hope we do then yes he isn't worth bringing on, but we are down to the bare bones.
  16. Our only options off the bench are Cash and Moreno and maybe Duran. Zaniolo seemingly injured again despite playing all of 10 minutes the other night.
  17. Olsen, FFS! We'll have to score at least 3 now as he'll likely gift them 2 goals through clown goalkeeping.
  18. Based on players we've been linked with so far, I'd be happy with the following: Hermoso (Atletico Madrid) - free Fofana (Monaco) - £25-30m Baena (Villareal) - £35m Frimpong/Dumfries (Leverkusen/Inter) - £30-40m A young centre back (astutely scouted) to replace Carlos if we sell him That would set us back over £100m, so I imagine we may need to sell someone even if we make top 4. Baena is an inverted left sided player so my bet is that it could be Ramsey, but obviously I hope not. Possibly we won't sell anyone key if we can decent prices for Cash, Digne/Moreno and Carlos (perhaps £40-50m all in) and get some money for Donk, Coutinho, Hause, Sanson and Chambers (perhaps £20m). Not holding my breath though. We could then line up as follows next season which is a very good side with lots of options to rotate the side (Mings, Buendia, Rogers/Ramsey, Tielemans, Kamara, Diaby etc): Martinez Frimpong/Dumfries Konsa Pau Hermoso Fofana Luiz Bailey McGinn Baena Watkins
  19. We aren't playing particularly well and do look tired but Spurs are in terrible form, three defeats in a row, they look abject and now have a super difficult game at Anfield. I wouldn't take us losing and them losing too because I feel we have a great chance of securing 4th today and we're up against Brighton who have been in relegation form in 2024. Anything other than a win today is pretty disappointing to be honest given what's at stake.
  20. It's ok. The defence looks weak and the goalkeeper seems to only be good with his feet and a liability at keeping shots out. 34 year old Welbeck up front. The midfield is decent, I've always thought Gross is very underrated, but I think Luiz and McGinn if on form get the better of Gross and Gilmour. I'm not sure Enciso will start after being out for so long. We can certainly beat that team, we have a great record against Brighton and their form is dreadful, certainly much worse than ours despite what some on here are saying.
  21. If Martinez plays I think we'll win, if Olsen plays I don't want to think about it. We've won games with him in goal before but he seems to gift the opposition at least 2 goals every game. Hopefully Martinez fit to start and Tielemans and Moreno can make the bench. I'd go same team that played so well and beat Arsenal a couple of weeks ago, with only Luiz (who needs a good performance) in for Tielemans who won't be fit enough to start: Martinez Konsa Carlos Torres Digne Luiz McGinn Diaby Rogers Zaniolo Watkins Subs: Gauci, Cash, Lenglet, Moreno, KKH, Iroegbunam, Tielemans, Bailey, Duran
  22. I think at his best he is really, really good, one of the best midfielders in the league, which by definition makes him close to world class, but you see I agree he’s maybe overrated and I’ve said it myself and that’s because he isn’t consistent enough and his performances at present prove that. The best midfielders don’t go missing for weeks or even months on end. As I said we need to find what is causing it and deal with it. If it means taking him out the team because he’s drained from the season we might have to, although given injuries currently our only other option is to play Tim who doesn’t look up to it. When Tielemans is back then I wouldn’t hesitate to bench Luiz until he’s back at the level he was earlier in the season.
  23. He hasn’t and clearly nothing went for him last night, but when you’ve already conceded a daft penalty you really have to stick that one away or let someone else take it. Usually his composure is great from set pieces, but his ice cool mentality seems to have gone coupled with his poor performances generally. I still think he’s borderline world class when he’s at the top of his game but he really is stinking out the team at the moment and whatever is causing it needs to be addressed quickly.
