  1. Looks like all you Doucoure fans can take him off your wishlist now that he’s gone to Everton.
  2. Theres comparison in a lot of sports. Have you not been paying attention to the equal pay conversation happening in athletics? Also who is saying Serena doesn’t deserve her titles/ sponsorships?
  3. A few years back an U15s boys team easily beat the US Women’s National team in a scrimmage.
  4. Because you have to consider the incentives as part of the transfer. Sure it may not reach that but it still comes out of the budget initially.
  5. Yeah Werner has a £52 million buyout. Haalands is £60+ million but here’s a bit about Haalands contract from last year: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2019/12/30/5e0a149f46163f38768b4636.html In addition to his 20 million euro transfer fee, Haaland will earn over eight million euros a season during the length of his four-and-a-half-year contract. This fee plus his wages will end up costing the club 56 million euros. However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport, his agent Mino Raiola will earn a commission of about 15 million euros for his role in the transfer. On top of Raiola's fee, Dortmund also paid 10 million euros to Alf-Inge Haaland, Erling's father and former Leeds United and Manchester City player, for his role in the deal. Manchester United were also in the race for Erling Haaland's signature. However, according to The Guardian, the club pulled out of the negotiations after his agent demanded a significant share of any future transfer of the Norwegian. In total, the transfer plus salary and commission will cost the German club about 81 million euros.
  6. Wasn’t Samatta more of a desperation signing since Wesley was hurt?
  7. Yeah I know it’s tic but no one would be complaining about that.
  8. Eduoard. But that’s a subjective choice.
  9. This board would explode if we signed Eduoard for £35-40 million.
  10. Because the patience argument is a more rational approach to what is happening. No one can say for certain what is happening so why get so riled up about what we don't know?
  11. No. Only new threads for players we don’t want.
  12. Patience.. no need to be so melodramatic.
  13. Hell, before that the rumor was another £150 million.
  14. True but shoring up the defense doesn’t sound so bad.
  15. Based on the Matty Cash transfer, quite the opposite is true. Seems we can’t agree to terms for players.
  16. Same with HBOtv. They just refuse to agree to terms.
  17. He isn’t leaving anytime soon but I’d take Saliba.
  18. I’m not worried about what kind of pull we have and I trust we will bring in quality. I’ve always thought that with this group you never know where our signings will come from anyway. My issue is mainly with the whole “we have until October 5th before the window closes” mentality. I’m not suggesting we would wait to sign everyone until then but why do we want to be waiting until 3 games into the season to be finalizing our team? Obviously this is a unique time we are living but wouldn’t there be some sort of urgency with that? Why would we not want to try to bring guys in as soon as possible to get acclimated, especially if they’re foreign guys?
  19. Let’s get Olivier Ntcham while we’re at it.
  20. I feel like this is the 100th time I’ve seen a “on the verge of bidding” tweet.
