  1. He might be doing light exercises with a ball again but he’s miles off full training. January return would be a miracle from where he was in august.
  2. 4 different publications have the injury between 7 and 12 weeks depending on recovery. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11396285/amp/Philippe-Coutinho-MAJOR-doubt-World-Cup-suffering-thigh-injury-training.html
  3. He’s injured for 10 weeks so irrelevant either way. Personally I’d be pretty disappointed with how poor Gerrard was though. I’d also be really bummed that emery has come in and got everyone excited and playing positive football with proper tactics right as I’d gotten injured. Still think he has something to offer us.
  4. Liverpool fans are clamouring for him already on Twitter. The useless journo's rumour pieces will inevitably follow the second he starts any sort of run of form.
  5. I wish they would rule him out of the world cup too.
  6. For where we were, and what he subsequently achieved with us (promotion, club record 10 wins etc.), he was an excellent right back thanks very much. It's not all about being a PL team of the year player. Football is about emotion, Alan Hutton was responsible for not only one of the most iconic Villa goals for 30 years, he was an integral part of our return to top flight football. He was also a huge fan of the club we all love and still speak extremely highly of his time here, most of which he was treated like shit. Sorry for derailing the Morgan *Gorgeous Bast**d* Sanson thread. Back to it.
  7. Meanwhile, Draco Malfoy (*cough* Anthony Gordon) over at Everton with his staggering 3 goal contributions this season (Ramsey has 4) is being linked with a £60m move to Spurs and will no doubt in his thoughts if injuries persist. The level of inconsistency amongst the England selection process is hilarious. If Gordon is worth £60m, I'm Arnold Palmer.
  8. It was the level of deflection that made it an "own goal" technically. The original shot was going so far wide, and the Ramsey intervention was so significant, that it actually constituted an own goal. Freakish, and bloody typical Yanyted.
  9. That goal alone makes Hutton a bonafide Aston Villa legend and I will fight any man who disagrees
  10. He's basically a better Nakamba. Solid, composed. Does nothing flashy or fancy, just keep stuff moving an snuffs out trouble early. Every team needs a Donck.
  11. Jacob Ramsey has scored the same number of PL goals for Man United as big Grant has for the Villa.
  12. I agree. Although the Erebor levels of money that would have been offered to him would also have been attractive.
  13. My reaction to Ezri carrying the ball like prime Beckenbauer early in the first half...
  14. B. Kamara and Luiz are going to be something under Emery. Having said that, Dendoncker was absolutely fantastic today.
  15. Just to reassure, they were all heartfelt tears of joy
  16. So far we've had: Lyon fans telling us Traore was dustbin - gets 17 goal contributions in his first season with us in all comps. Juve fans telling us that Bentancur was dogshit - signs for Spurs and is currently their PotS. Wolves fans laughing at us because they thought Dendoncker was "absolute garbage" - looking at utter steal at £13m I think it's time we stopped believing other fans.
  17. Bit rude, I thought he was decent today.
  18. The scenes at my place when Sanson was getting ready to come on...
  19. Not bad for an Everton reserve player
