It's scattergun season for 'journalists' now. They just fire out speculation based on previous links/players from Unai's previous clubs/players that might suit our system and if one of the them sticks in the summer they claim they have special insider knowledge.

We're a better side than Brighton. That's a fact since Unai arrived. We don't need them to take it easy on us. They can play their full strength 11 and we should still beat them. It's down to us.

Not sure if you've watched Spurs lately, but that comment is like saying "have you seen Villa's entire squad under that binman Gerrard?" Kulusevski under Conte was amazing, he's a class player and still only 23.

I'm not going to dig people out, but go back 5-10 pages and especially into March and earlier and some of the comments are rather funny. Cashing in, squad player, comments on his brother already being better than him, not PL quality...

Great option when we go away to the really tough sides. Can pick a pass, great delivery, solid enough at the back and crucially he's very tactically astute. As others have said, Salah couldn't squeeze out a fart yesterday when he was on the pitch.

I really like Lo Celso as referenced earlier in the thread. However, given the derisory bids that we've received from that cue-ball headed pissweasel in the past, I would start the bidding at 5,000,000 Zimbabwean Dollars, a Northern Rock savings debit card and Lee Hendrie on a 6 month loan.

Respect all opinions of course, however: Playing a key starting role in a Copa winning team, a likely starter in what became a world cup winning team but for injury, and the fact that our manager has signed him not once, but twice, suggests that he may be good enough to me. He's been absolutely outstanding at Villarreal mostly under.... Unai Emery. I would like to see this one happen personally.

Yes I know the moment you're talking about. He gets barged and was off balance, allowing the defender to get back to him. He was trying to switch the ball to his preferred left between two defenders. Not a great example. He is absolutely A1 rapid I can assure you. He's had the odd moment (he's barely played) where I've literally stood up and gone "holy s**t this is proper gas". Better showcases of his speed would be his cameos in the City and Leicester games earlier in the season.
