Eh, not really but also kind of? Their wage bill in 19-20 was ranked 17th and 16th for 20-21. He did okay but lets not act like he was making miracles at Brighton in terms of points The thing with Brighton though is that they regularly play pretty well but can't finish for shit. So in a sense he is actually doing very well with them.

I think its a distinct possibility we get relegated this season, but at this stage of the season I could say that for a lot of other teams too. Whilst I think are performances this season have beem relegation tier, I'm quite confident we will improve eventually, with Gerrard or without him.

Currently, I'm still Gerrard out. However, if he win against Leicester I'll start singing a different tune and I'll definitely be Gerrard in again if we win against Southampton as well. I don't want us to see us losing either of the next 2 games or drawing both. He needs to not lose and win at least one of them for me to even want to give him another chance. Unfortunately, its not my decision to make whether he gets another chance anyway,

I just don't think we need him. We already have Sanson, Luiz, Kamara, Mcginn, Ramsey and Nakamba hell include Iroegbunam into the mix too. Ok not all of them are playing as well or as good as we'd like but can anyone honestly tell me Dendoncker is a sure fire improvement? He's not is he? He's just another body that most likely will just end being a marginal improvement over what we already have.

Gerrard should be doing better with the squad but I can't lie, some of the players we've been linked with recently make me seriously question what this guy has been doing.

You should start by looking at the posts in the more recent pages that in the first ones. A lot can change in half a year.

This is a points per game table that looks at the amount of points per game we and other teams have taken since Gerrard joined us. Except I've made this so that you can give a larger weight to more recent matches. Give it a try. But to a certain extent, recency should play a factor no? Like imagine I extended it to a whole season. First season, the manager loses almost every game and just survives relegation. Next season, we win the league. Now compare it to if the first season, we won the league but the next season we just barely survive relegation. Surely it would be rational to be more worried of the future in the second scenario than the first. Its not just a mental thing

Have you seen United's scouting this season? Its horrendous. And that's from one of the biggest clubs in the world. My gut feeling is that the scouts themselves are good at their job. But its the upper management who decide what players to buy who are choosing against the scouts recommendation.

Serious question because I'm actually working on a table that aims to take recency into account. Ignoring the effect of the strength of the opposition and assuming the matches before don't play into your opinions at all. Imagine in our last 10 matches, we went on a 5 game winning streak followed by a 5 game losing streak. How worried would you be compared to if we went on a 5 game losing streak followed by a 5 game winning one? Like give me it in percentage terms. Anyone can answer btw.

They're alright. Better than Konsa but probably no better than Chambers. That said, if Gerrard insists on not starting Chambers than I guess he'd technically be an improvement to our team.
