  1. If we get Europa or Euro Conference we’ll win them.
  2. The closer we get the more the Liverscum and Leicester defeats annoy me. Bastards. Btw Don Unai is the type of manager who can get us to have 15+ games undefeated. Whatever happens I’m gonna enjoy the rest of the season as long as we get CL.
  3. No one knows what Bertie does that’s why we love him. He brings Joy. He’s sublime , he plays suicidal crossfield passes when a simple ten yard pass will mean he creates a chance, he passes the ball into the net. The reality is Bertie plays the game in a different realm, we’re watching the game away at Leicester but Bertie is playing Pro Evo soccer, The latest instalment of FIFA, I bet he plays chess with his feet. Even when he’s 50 I want Bertie in the match day squad. I fell in love with infuriating game because of players like Bertie. He’s Aston Villa’s Alex Higgins, Jimmy White, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Gilles Villenueve, Hitman Hearns. If anyone doesn’t like him go watch paint dry.
  4. I thought it was a dominant performance without needing to be that good. Harvey Barnes was a nuisance and scored a world class goal but I felt we were the better team. Yes there were a couple of scary moments but we scored two brilliant goals for different reasons. The first was like Gerd Muller in the World Cup final after three very good passes through the lines and the second was sensational. As Jack Grealish said about Bertie “Maestro”. The guy is a genius an inconsistent one but a genuinely gifted player.
  5. Dear Ollie and Bertrand kindly DM me your addresses my wife will paying you both a special visit. thanks.
  6. It’s all about next season. However we could get some bonuses this season too. The barcodes are out of reach now after that win - both in terms of points and the psychological boost they’ll get. The players now know that Don Unai is here to win things and get CL. Someone mentioned in the match or post match thread that he has instilled a belief and some big bollocks in the camp. Heart says 6th head says 8th. Either way a magnificent season after ‘ol look me in the eye nearly destroyed the whole campaign.
  7. The first twenty minutes are key. I say we go out and blitz them. But we have to take our chances unlike the game at Villa Park.
  8. Give him another year and keep him around the squad. He is vital to have around for his experience, mentality, preparation, fitness and his absolute shithousing and trolling of the opposition. Still playing well too.
  9. The end of the season funnily enough will show Don Unai who has the bollocks to challenge for trophies and CL qualification. Realistically we will probably finish 7th (imo) but if we can get to 17-19 wins for the season (that’s what I predicted when Don Unai took over) then they’ve shown they have the cajones to build on it next for next season. 56 points minimum should we get those 5 wins. Hopefully 7. Who wants to bet against Don Unai.
  10. Nope. I’ve legit convinced myself that we have momentum to get 4th. . yes I’ve had the funny pills.
  11. I agree with the sentiments of Kepheren Thuram. That’s a serious midfield we’d possess.
  12. The little simple bit of skill @1:56 so effective.
  13. If we win every game we get champions league. Maybe. Grrr those 6 points! (Yes I know I’ve been called out on it). But imagine if we were on 47 points.(Still believe we should have won the Liverpool and Leicester games). Top 4 would be a realistic chance. Don Unai is probably already plotting revenge for the defeats.
  14. Also I think the colour his sweat drenched shirt was in the post match interview is the Claret I’d like our shirts to be moving forward.
  15. The mindset he displays now is what he needs to continue to do moving forward. He was making all the wrong decisions for a long time save for Gerrard’s first five or so games. Ironically Mcginn’s best game (imo) last season was the Wolves capitulation.(I know under Smith) Now his performances are more consistent than they’ve ever been and his tactical awareness on and off the ball is much better. He is selective with his passing and is realising that he doesn’t need to split the defence open with every pass. The result? Aston Villa benefit.
  16. Exactly this. Last season he didn’t do what he was renowned for in the first season his work rate and touch were off. The improvement is fantastic and now he’s got one of the worlds best coaching and advising him. Once the players get used to Unai’s style even more Ollie will get to 20 goals a season.
  17. The liverscum and Leicester games still rankle with me. 6 points dropped.
  18. Jimmy Floyd on whether Villa deserved it or not :” they deserved it because they scored two goals”. There you no BS from Jimmy.
  19. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but the players look physically stronger and a little bit more leaner.
  20. I felt the changes made the game easier for us. Before that we were the better team and then we scored. After that they were the better team but in recent games against them we’ve had so much ball and chances that we could have won 3 games let alone two. Mcginn and Louis were sensational and Kamara was solid for his first game back. Chambers was really good as was Young who used his experience at the right moments.
  21. Chelsea, Spuds, Man Yoo, should have beaten Liverscum but for poor finishing , robbed against Arsenal due to two offside players, only poor game was against Man Cheaty, up yours Sky Scum 6.
  22. Felix is the only Chelsea player who looks likely. We need to calm down and use the ball better.
