Agreed - whichever European tournament we qualify for has benefits. Conference means more of our squad is involved, Europa is Don Unai’s tournament. And then CL well that’s the ultimate prize for us. Trophies and Europe are on offer and I want them all. It’s been too long.

We’ve been good for 18 games. The other teams have been challenging to win league titles for over a couple of years.

I said that finishing on 19 wins is a challenging but achievable target for this group and that was some 10 games ago. We might do it with a game or two spare the way we are going.

With Europa and Conference how much extra commercial could we pick up ? I know it’s quite a lot if you qualify for CL but I’ve never seen the numbers from the europa league in addition to the prize money that’s been quoted in this thread.

Benteke struggled to press. He’s a back to goal striker and Ollie is all round now that he has sorted his feet out. Benteke was still a special talent for us though.

I’ve watched Brennan Johnson a few times recently and he hasn’t impressed me at all. He lacks the basics. Kept hiding behind players when his team needed an outlet, 4 touches to control the ball getting bumped off the ball with ease nah not for me. Morgan Gibbs White is a far superior footballer who can control the ball sees good passes and can beat a man. Not as quick as Johnson but he is a good player. What I liked most about Gibbs-White is he seems to be tactically flexible.

Catching Man U is realistically gone. Newcastle there’s still a glimmer if Spurs do something. However they might get the confidence then to go on a run and turn us over .

By the way Don Unai after Saturday pretty much demanded a top 5 finish. Deep down he wants top 4. Nearly impossible but he won’t be letting up in his pursuit of it.
