I don’t mind him losing the ball but not chasing back to win it is what I think most are more disappointed with.

I bloody hate man yoo. Ratsards. . Overall think they got their tactics spot on first half. They were at times playing 3-2-5 and kept going over our midfield. We wrested the initiative in the second half and should have at least scored. Casemiro should have got a yellow for that Ramsey challenge and it changes the flow in the first half. Definitely need some players back as we looked mentally tired overall.

I think there should be a cap on season tickets across the board in the premier league. At what price though I wouldn’t like to be the one who sets it. I suppose it depends on how much the other clubs generate from ticket sales alone. Spurs and Chelsea? Bloody obscene!

Not directed solely at your post but points like this in general (even though you acknowledge that it was a few years ago). We have to take age and personal growth into consideration when a player ‘fails’ in their first spell in England goes abroad and then potentially comes back. Toney was poor at Newcastle and he’s odds on (see what I did there!) at becoming a success at Brentford. If Don Unai feels he can get a tune out of Lo Celso then for me it’s not an underwhelming potential signing at all. I think it’d be a clever signing who provides very strong competition for our midfielders especially mcginn and Ramsey.

It’s hard to notice what he does to fans unless you’re playing against him - he always finds space (albeit a fraction slower than Boubs we’re talking milliseconds) and his passing between the lines is always crisp and precise. I always found comments about him being passive and a side to side passer laughable. Those ten yard passes forwards which may not look like much actually open the game for us by taking out 2/3 defensive players. The guy is becoming world class. Exquisite.

We did work hard against Brentford and Leicester. Against Leicester we had umpteen chances to score and win. Individual lapses cost us. Against Brentford their tactics nullified a lot of our work and it was only until Don Unai changed tactics that we started to dominate. The hard work and desire was there in all three games - Newcastle, Leicester and Brentford but tactics between the three teams were different so the performances from us were also different. Obviously the Leicester game we lost mainly because of the individual errors we made.

I think moving forward we will only see two maybe three players come in the summer windows and possibly one in the winter depending on injuries etc. We don’t have to get more than that in because of the fact that Don Unai will surely improve the current players some more after a full summer pre-season. Naturally some players will hit their ceilings and will be replaced but until then 2/3 will be enough imo. @Tomaszk agree about the Watford lad Pedro. Very good player.

That Leicester game has cost us 4th imo. Both Newcastle and Man Yoo have got decent points over the last couple of months too. However I still believe we will beat either Man yoo or Liverscum.

Which season was it when we had the games in hand and we didn’t actually do anything. As you say realistically the chances of fourth are slim to none but we have the points. I can see man yoo panic a little. We owe them for 92/93 in the league when we panicked during the run in.

My predictions for the remaining games W,W,W,W,W. 69 points European Football and a whole load of Kenneth masks at Villa park for when the squad do their lap.

If the Spuds beat manure and then we beat them on Sunday then we will get fourth.
