    England's cricket team was the exact same as Southgates tactics - dour boring and turgid. They decided attacking cricket would be more rewarding and it has proven to be so. India and Australia were so far ahead so you using the cricket team is a fair comparison. The team play cricket the way Jack plays footy.

    Agree with you. The perfect out ball would have been Watkins or Bamford (whom he didn't even take). Or DCL coming on to hold the ball up. You can't go into a tournament with just 2 strikers. It isn't rose tinted spectacles to want Grealish to play more minutes especially last night. Free kicks, holding the ball up. Pinning them back.

    The pundits and commentators were shit for this tournament. With the exception of Ally Mccoist and the foreign guys who kept things balanced fair and unbiased. Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville can take a running jump.

    One of the best tournaments in a while all because the 'lesser' nations played really well and were a match for the 'bigger' teams. Switzerland, Denmark, Austria played some lovely football. Hungary (apart from the racism from the fans) were energetic. The Czechs too impressed me. Italy thoroughly deserved that win. Spain I think would have suffocated England into submission because of how they use and keep the ball.
