I think hourihane fits in as the super sub and should be used as such. He has got the ability to curl one in against a tired defence especially if we get free kicks. He has just enough pace and attitude to stick it to players when they are tired and he is fresh. And he is very good at keeping the ball and picking out the final ball as well. I think bringing him on at 60 or 70 minutes would be great and would certainly pressurise any team we play against except the top 4.

For me mcginn has to come off there. He couldn't run and was a big reason why we conceded the second as he could press guendouzi.

I think we will be a lot stronger if mcginn starts off attacks a lot deeper as the gives more options for passes and let's him more easily bring the ball up. This will make us stronger defensively. On top of that an earlier substitution for him at about 65-75 minutes where he is blowing chunks and bringing on hourihane or nakamba/Luiz depending on whether we are winning or losing.

Luiz appears to be more skillful than nakamba but nakamba currently has much better positioning. Hopefully we will develop that and he will be able to start or play with our team. If we lose mcginn as well he will be an alright replacement as well who already knows our system.

He really does need to be deeper. He is best bringing the ball out but he can't do that so far up. On top of this Grealish is better than mcginn idn the final third at everything except shooting and should be higher than mcginn creating chances for our other players.

Truthfully the masuaku sending off probably wasn't a red card. Obviously we didn't benefit in the Same way but it was a game changing decision and we may have lost without the suspension.

Disagree. If we are going to score it always looks like it is going to come through el ghazi from our wingers (obviously Jack and John do it but aren't wingers). El Ghazi needs a bit more confidence to beat players and more defensive awareness but when locked in el ghazi has appeared better.

For all his talk of positive play after the first 10-15minutes of the first half we were incredibly negative. After they scored we played attacking football until we scored and then we sat back again. I think there are 3 reasons for our loss: 1st our fitness is not up to scratch mcginn has no legs by about 70 minutes and should be taken off every game at that point. Bring on hourihane or lansbury and get someone who can close down and be aggressive for the last 20 minutes on the pitch. 2nd substitutions have been poor. Taking off el ghazi was a bad decision leaving us without a direct winger whilst we were chasing. 3rd they had a player who was dominating the game and we let him walk all over us. We should have brought hourihane on and had him man Mark guendouzi. Even if he isn't spectacular defensively he can put a shift in and we still would have had an extra man on the pitch. AND BONUS 4TH POINT is our players are at the same time far too confident and unsure of themselves. Our players have made stupid mistakes through lapses in judgement because they over estimated their ability I.e mings' header luiz's **** up in the Bournemouth game. But at the same time when we are in good positions the only players who really look to do anything are mcginn and our wingers. Jack, Wesley and anyone else who is up their needs to be more aggressive with the ball at their feet.

More a combination of faults. Mcginn gave guendouzi about a minute to line up the ball and didn't press. This was both his and smiths fault as he was clearly too tired to do it and should have been off but he still needs to press. Taylor dropped deep playing Chambers onside before the ball was played and mings had a shit header which gave an easy chance. Taylor maybe should have reacted but it was a crap header.

Can't blame on el ghazi. Miscommunication. He probably thought it would be to his feet so he could take a touch. Trez tried to play a ball for him to run onto.

Maybe after 60 minutes and he is tiring. But I'd rather sub mcginn off first as he always looks on the verge of collapse for the last 20 minutes of a game.

Maybe try what juve do with mandzukic. El ghazi up front ala ronaldo and wesley out wide holding up the play against weaker full backs.

I hope in the next match mcginn plays much deeper. He has essentially been playing as a 2nd striker most of the time this season which leaves Jack, jota and El Ghazi very isolated when they are out wide. On top of that it makes it harder for us to pass out of defense as one of our best options has gone AWOL. If he plays deeper it will let Jack roam more and will open up more space in Midfield as he will have to be marked by another midfielder rather than a centre half. He has been very good defensively but going forward aside from the occasional long shot he really hasn't offered much except for his goal against spurs. If he was firth back he could pikc the ball up when we are countering and drive at players but right now he is not as effective as he should be. People have been complaing that Jack isn't playing well and questioning whether we can play both Jack and John in the PL. I think if either one of them should be dropped it would have to be mcginn (I don't think that should happen yet). I also wonder whether hourihane would make us more effective with out set pieces as right now they are all crap.

The thing about ivanovich though is that although he wasn't very creative he got goals through headers and at the time was probably the best right back in the league. On top of that Chelsea had pedro/willian/hazard on the wings who were all brilliant.

I really wish Taylor was 3 inches taller. Because if he was he would be a brilliant backup centre half. But as it stands he just isn't fast enough or confident enough to make an impact when going forward which really screws us over.

First 15 he was adjusting last 15 he was tired. Brilliant the 50 minutes in between. No options from John or elmo leaving him with either guilbert or Jack to play it to when on the right. But when he was on the left he lost the ball a lot fewer times just need to replace Taylor.

If we get battered so be it. I'd rather have us score a goal or two against arsenal and Concede 3 or 4 than lose 2-0 with arsenal having 90% possession and about 50 shots. We should go out and play them like we played Everton but with targett, nakamba and maybe el ghazi (with target the left should open up making it a lot easier for whoever plays there but trez is better defensively so may play). If wes can score and maybe jack or a winger to boost their confidence that would be ideal. Plus Taylor does not have the pace to keep up with lacazette or pepe or whoever else they play.

It also isn't deluded though. Kodj has been unlucky with injuries once again which isn't great. And the only game time he got was against spurs and I mean come on what was he supposed to do. They were all over us it isn't his fault he was crap against a CL finalist.

Rather him than Luiz to play against West ham. He seems like he would be better at breaking up their play.
