Absolutely right, can't blame his dad at all and he has every right to be proud of his son. Still couldn't ever bring myself to wish Grealish well though - he plays for another English club who we are in "direct competition" (in a manner of speaking) with for 3 of the 4 competitions we'll be in next year. If anything, I'd want to beat them in the FA Cup final on penalties and hopefully see him cry -

Was it 92 times we've caught teams offside under Emery? I guess every single one of those must've been a crap pass or bad run, couldn't possibly have been coaching it really was dreadful punditry.

That's perfectly fair, the lad might still have all the hunger and desire to do really well and keep playing at the top level, I don't want to assume anything negative about him. Just as a general rule I think you'd want to catch players on the way up rather than the way down. I'd hate to find ourselves in a Jack Rodwell situation ala Sunderland is all.

No chance Asensio comes here IMO, and I always have misgivings about signing players unwanted by CL teams. Feels very much like an Everton move that doesn't work out, he sits around on big money for 3-4 years and then goes to play in the Saudi league or China for £500k a week on a free.

Still really **** off about this one, just given those mutants an opportunity to crawl back out from under their rocks. Really irritates me that this was just SO **** predictable after their drubbing last week, losing 1-0 was simply the most Aston Villa thing we could’ve done.

Totally agree, I think it is a symptom of the current trend of impatient, reactionary and entitled social media fans ala AFTV. (Aware this may make me sound ancient, insert "Old man yells at cloud" gif here, but I am only 30 )
