I think some fans are going to be disappointed because I don't think Sawiris or Edens have any intentions to spunk £40m in fines!

Let's just hope his new contract is rewarding but sensible....we don't want to continue going down the route of pricing players out of a move due to being on ridiculous wages and of course the knock on effects it has on the financial running of the club.

I'd rather we did it the right way and grow the business on strong foundations. Either way, I don't think the fine will be as much of an issue as it would have been 10 days ago.

Wow....the fact they wanted to meet supporters groups less than a week into their ownership and that it was organised for their first official visit to Villa speaks volumes to me. Both of these fill me with far more confidence about our future than RL and TX. They know how to run a business.

I still don't think that Bruce is in the long term plans of the owners. They have given him chance to prove himself and keep stability and continuity on the playing side which is understandable. I do think that he will be gone by Christmas.

I said it before and I'll say it again. If Henry is the man to take us forward, as fans, we will have to be patient and give him time to deliver what we all want which u doubtedly is good and successful football. So for me, 1-3 years is perfectly acceptable if that means that we become a force in the premier league again for a long time. MON was successful but he played boring football which was unsustainable. Lambert played dour football that lead ultimately to relegation (Garde in no way could have saved us that season under the constraints applied to him) Bruce has played dour football which will be unsustainable in the premier league. So let's do it and do it right this time.
