  1. Another crazy on the go non stop lightning john Mcginn type of player would see us totally dominate midfield and games even more. It's tough enough for teams dealing with Mcginn and Grealish, add another and damn teams will struggle. How about Theo Archibald, signed from celtic by brentford in 2017, around 20 years of age, he does play midfield doesn't he or is it winger, I know he can be deployed as a fullback though. I feel those are the type of players we want, those who can be put into multiple positions.
  2. I do agree with what you said, I do think that too, if we go premiere we will need top quality for sure. I wished January would hurry and arrive so we can see our reinforcements..
  3. We don't have a Tammy though which is what we need to address, sure Benteke is no Tammy but he did once bang a ton of goals in for us. I think hes still capable of it, obviously if that move somehow did happen it would be something for him to prove that it's all still inside him. What would we do if Tammy gets recalled in January by Chelsea, we would be hurting off of that bad. As I said before kodjia is struggling for goals and Hogan needs to step up, Greene is off on loan, we do need a player up front of Tammys calibre who is our own, Benteke could make a comeback it's been done before.
  4. The problem is apart from Tammy as a striker, he is the only useful one and he isn't even ours, i think kodjia isn't the player he was yet I'd try a swap deal kodjia for Benteke on a loan for loan and see how it goes. As it stands Benteke is not even getting bench at times, he's not playing his value has dramatically decreased and palace could be thinking of moving him on. What's our record now with players coming from other clubs when there career has took abit of a dive, they come here and completely turn it around i dont see why Benteke couldnt do the same.
  5. That doesn't mean that translates back if he plays under us again. We should all know by now that when a player is playing very good under one club, one wrong move to another can be it for a while. Benteke could make a move back and for all we know become the player we all knew him as. A loan wouldn't hurt at all, we would be losing nothing really to see if we can make him the player he once was. I think Dean could make use of him, he's a strong powerful guy, that's what we need up front someone who isn't going to be pushed around when he's on the ball
  6. Media talk, whether it's true or not remains to be seen. Benteke is not getting game time either and because of the way he played under us he had a pretty darn good goal scoring time. Benteke value isn't increasing, didn't palace buy him for around 32 million from Liverpool, yet his value has in fact decreased and palace are looking at ways in which they can sell him, one would be if they struck a deal with Aston Villa and we loaned him with the possibility to buy on, then if he comes good on loan he is back at villa. Could be a good move, since we now have a coach who can bring players back from what is a career in the bench or worse. If Benteke does want to come back I think one reason is because he missed it so much at villa and regretted the moves he made than seen him leave Villa Park.
  7. There is talk coming out of a possible Benteke return, to not only help both clubs profit from his future sales but tò see if he can fire in goals for us again. Christian played well for us banging in a ton of goals in three seasons. I think it could be what we need to partner Tammy if we don't get Odoi that is. I bet Dean Smith could get Benteke firing again and Christian knows himself he had a brilliant spell with our club. What do you all think of a Christian Benteke return??
  8. What if it was a colaberation between Luke and addidas, I would so love that shirt.
  9. Steve Bruce made some bad history with our fan base before he ever even came to manage us. Yeah ok the Bent situation where Bent was a waste of coin for villa in every major sense, was enough. For bruce to be manager of another club (sunderland) at the time and go tell a player who was about to make a move to us that hes worth alot more and he's better than Aston Villa, I can u sweat and fans falling out with him fast. The guy was so close to getting promotion one season and I agree with you did turn things around to a degree, but that was the end of his decency at villa. Bruce changed the following season, having a go at everyone in sight, making mistakes that never should never of been made, he made himself look like a complete in-experienced manager that's for sure. Whether he did what he did on purpose or not is a question Bruce only knows the answer too, wouldn't surprise me if he wanted his payoff and to be gone, he looked like a guy that was doing his all to get fired this season. In a way I felt sorry for him at the time, but as more happened each week those feelings started to go quickly, he was not only leading our club to relegation zone, but he wasn't filling anyone up with confidence, especially our players and was even having a go at them which you don't do at any cost. I would say in the end Bruce got what he deserved, he didnt do himself any favours and the cabbage was the nail in his coffin.
  10. Have you seen the story that's come out about Darren Bent and Steve Bruce. It's all about Darren Bents 24 million move to Aston Villa, the story is fine untill it gets to Steve Bronto Bruce. Bruce being manager of Sunderland at the time tried to put off bent from moving to Villa despite the club saying they would accept 24 million. Bruce not only approaches bent to put him off but it's his choice of words I don't like. Steve Bruce says to Darren Bent which sounds as though he begged Bent not to join villa but at the same time turns round to Bent and says your better than that. Yeah, to me anyhow it sounded as though Bruce was saying your to good for aston villa and they don't deserve you. I never took Bruce as this two faced person but so much has come out since his time at villa which makes him look like a two faced manager. Now I know at the time of the Bent 24 million move we were struggling, add to the fact he ended up being a waste and earning 27k per touch under the management of gerard houllier. I think Bent was one of those players poorly managed under houllier, wonder how he would of come on under Dean Smith. But back to Steve Bruce, I have gone rite off the man I have for many reasons, mainly his poor management of our club despite given enough time. I'm sure this season Bruce was deliberately sabotaging us, so he could be sacked and move on. You think of the way Steve Bruce left our defence wide open for the picking so other teams could rip us apart, then add to the fact he was constantly playing players in wrong positions all while tearing into the fans and most of al our club and players, if you ask me Steve Bruce is slimey in the way he behaved at our club. I think Steve could of turned it around if he wanted to, no one makes those kind of roomie mistakes as he did after all the time Bruce has been managing in football. I do hope Bruce gets back into the championship and Wednesday take him on, so that Aston Villa, Dean Smith, all our player's and our owners can stick it to the Dinosaur, i feel we need to give Bruce some pay back on the pitch for all the neglect he put into our players and club. It would be some game for Dean Smith and the players I think they would love it, Dean Smith would show Steve Bruce how football management/coaching is done, how Bruce got it all wrong with our club, i feel Dean is the one person who could teach Steve Bruce a harsh lesson in football coaching/management.
  11. I bet the owners will have something to say about bringing past players back to VP. The owners don't want old players turning 30 and on, they want the youngsters in that are going to be fast, exciting and draw the crowds. Look at what the owners said to bruce when he tried to get Terry back to play for us, and Terry is by far the better of them all who have been mentioned above, if Terry wasn't coming I cant see any of them lot coming. Youngsters is where it's at, 26 years of age and below I believe is what Smith and the owners will drag in to Villa. For the old bunch it would take some fitness and half and some real conditioning to play what smith plays on the pitch, I'd be very surprised if we were to see anyone aged 28 and above joining us in january and because of a few reasons.
  12. Id say overall he played good but in terms of goals that is where his bad game is made up. If Tammy had of scored once or twice I spose we would be singing his praises, but he does need the critism because if he gets none then he can't 're adjust and take in what he failed to deliver. I hope DEAN has took Tammy to the side as I'm sure he has and told him what he thinks Tammy should be doing. That is what Tammy needs a good dose of critism and advice that will help him bang in what should be simple finishes for him. In my eyes i think hes missing the easiest of shots trying to do way to much on the ball as well as thinking to much. Sure Smith will sort Tammy out.
  13. Absolutely zilch wasn't it. We got out played under bruce while they had a lower quality squad, we simply got torn to shreds, dumped in a meat grinder and ate for fun, then recycled..
  14. Well reports as of now is that sheffield Wednesday chiefs have met with Steve Bruce. Mite not be long before we see Bronto Bruce back in the championship. That's a game I so eagerly want if Bronto Bruce is at Wednesday, we owe Wednesday some revenge after they beat us 2-1 while under Bronto Bruce, then they would even have our dinosaur of a manager. I do feel though that bruce would think he has something to prove if he came back to the championship, would be the only reason he comes back in my eyes. He would want to stick it to us as much as he could for his sacking, doubt it would happen though with the way were playing. No way would bruce get the owls playing anywhere near as good as what Dean has us playing.
  15. Well reports is now Tammy maybe staying, that Chelsea maybe seeing it as he's not ready for the premiere after fluffing those chances against Albion. I love Tammy to bits, but against Albion it showed that even with his talent, you can have bad games, cure or no curse he must move on and sure he will. Hopefully then while we lost two point to a cheating hit who said at one point he didnt know what happened then later admitted it, that we do end up with Tammy longer, Tammys inability to score may well be what keeps him with us longer. So a bad day for us with a cursed Tammy, a goal that should of been disallowed, two points dropped could still prove to be useful down the line in January.
  16. Yes your rite the sky guy said we play with two number 8s rather than a number 10. Mcginn and Grealish are a must keep together pair, they work well with eachother. Imagine if in January we could find more players with that same work rate as Mcginn and Grealish, now that would be something as I feel we have to many in our first team that can't do what Mcginn and Grealish do in there respective roles of course.
  17. Back to the game we had with Albion and the lousy officiating. What I've been saying all this time about the EFL and there need to shake these refs up is only reinforced by the Birmingham city defeat to Bristol. The fact three penaltys were denied and they were blatant clear penalty is an absoloute joke. It certainly looks as though there is a need for replay technology in the championship more than ever now. It's happened way to much this season and it's very disgusting officiating that's the cause of our games in the championship being torn apart. It's not just our club that's going through it, it's many that are being screwed because of bad linesman and referees.
  18. That is excellent and so true, could not of said it any better..
  19. Dean will get the best out of Scott, it's only a matter of time I think before we see Scott out perform kodjia on a regular basis. I think kodjia wont be good enough for the premiere and id much rather scott take his place and see if he can make something of himself. I also think smith has plans for scott, hes had him before so he knows what scotts strengths are. Scott's also a few years younger than kodjia rite? Scott can make it happen if he wants it that bad, I think he should becoming on before kodjia anyway. I know it sounds like I'm putting kodjia down, he is a good player but I feel scott can be better. I don't think kodjia has done much this season so far, goes missing to much, goes out of position, has caused giveaways way to much. In my opinion we should replace him and sell him when we can and Smith can bring someone more capable, he's not bang in in as many as be should be, it's like waiting for Xmas. No matter what without Tammy, if we enter the premiere, I think we're going to struggle with the strike force we have at the moment, not to mention other positions. I think a firesale is needed on alot of players if we go up. we should keep the following in Grealish,Mcginn, whelan, hourihane, Hutton, Elmo, Tuanzebe-( if can buy) Tammy-( if can buy) ghazi. really it's a very short list on players we have that would be keepable in the premiere in my view. I really do think we may actually need another season in the championship. As good as Smith has us running in such a short space of time, Smith really needs a few transfer windows to get rid of certain players who are obviously struggling in Smith's new villa and bring new players in. As much as i hate to say, we are no where near ready for the premiere, i think we need more time to get our team sorted..
  20. Albion managers says his team didn't deserve to lose, I would say they did and all because of one controversial moment that spoilt the whole game. I should be saying Albion played to there best and gave us as good as what we have them, yet i feel every enjoyement all the players from both teams made, all that great playing turned to sour milk in the end. If that result had of stood as it should of stood 2-1 I would be saying well done Albion but I just can't and all because of one player who committed plain rite thievery at 90 minutes. The fact that Rodriguez has admitted it, should be overturned, do the rite thing during the game so it could of been disallowed. What really gets me annoyed is how Rodthievez turned round and said also that he didnt know what happened, be knew what happened he handballed it not once but twice. What's even worse is the linesman who said it was a goal was in clear sight of that player. He was standing smack bang to the side where our goal was, then he had the ordasity to run to the ref and say it should stand. Even Dean Smith seen it from half way up the pitch and thousands of fans so that one person who could of done the rite thing lied through his teeth. You would honestly think with the way this season has gone with officials that they are bent and they're corrupt as anything, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. If they are not corrupt then they are thick is pig crap and need sorting out. No one wants us getting promotion and that stench is even coming from the officials, I think the officials clearly have there favourites in the league. I so wish the championship had replay tech, it's about time it did have up and down all of the leagues. After tonight there should be more shout outs for it even more in the championship a league where promotion is super important. Sorry if I'm ranting, think this one has really got to me.
  21. Dont think we played it like we did against birmingham, we treated that as a derby and any midland team playing us is going to treat it as such, think that was our mistake. We should of won hands down if only Tammy had of scored in his 3 to 5 chances that he had. There goal I'd absolutely outrageous thievery, it shouldn't of been aloud to stand some as and baggies supporters think it wasn't even hand ball, bunch if idiots. They did play well but I kept saying it towards the end, we must keep possesion more and not let them drive the game, they wanted the equaliser and we pretty much served it up to them. One thing is we didn't lose, but now we need the top bunch to slip up or the game increases again, we could go as much 12 points behind Norwich when they finished there next game, that's four games we could now be stretched to. We had a few players at fault today, not just one like I've been reading it seems lime many are aiming at Nyland. If our defence was on the ball instead of slipping over, being caught way to much on counter attacks, we could of pulled a win here. High tempo teams same as ours were struggling with at the moment. I can understand it as Smith is having to make do with what's available. we need reinforcements in, can't wait till January. We haven't been playing anywhere near our way for as long as these teams have in there way in the championship, still tons of work to do but we will get there. They are tough teams, well oiled, drilled, to do what we do in such a short space of time is pretty outstanding.
  22. Just watching the replays of it now, the linesman had clear view if the handball and he tells the ref its a goal, disgusting.
  23. Nyland played well, couldn't do anything on that last goal when a striker is going through the keeper at that speed handling the ball it's going in and no one is stopping that goal. I wish people would get off the guys back, the first goal was due to Tammy flick and buttons slip up, yet you will blame Nyland it's a joke. Don't care we should of won that as Tammy should of scored a couple if not more. What makes it worse is the player who handled the ball has only gone and admitted it after the whistle in an interview, yet why didn't he admit it to the ref, he's a joke, the whole system is a joke This kind of craps suposed to happen in wrestling, not football, even they have relay technology there. Should be no controversy the ref and linesman all season have been making piss poor decisions against us. Dean Smith's face said it all as well, if he could see that hand ball there from the dug out, then surely the linesman and ref could off, I'm mad to be honest I feel annoyed over this one..
  24. We were robbed, that piss poor that goal, disgusting, feel for our players. That is why replay tech is needed everywhere.
