Well… it’s now being reported that the fee for Davis is 1m so…

Makes complete sense… they can afford him and fight for promotion. An attractive move for both him and the club. A nice sum to help us bring in further reinforcements… Really do wonder who we are after… Some “previous targets” seem to be no longer available… whether or not we were even interested…

Are we raising funds to make a statement signing to elevate the team… before the window closes? Certainly feels like it… I expect several additions but just feel like a real “big signing” is on the way… to take us to that next level…

That’s much more applicable to Coutinho imo… Traore has contributed and offered more when he has been given a chance. He’s not as injury prone as Phil… Tbf, after Deano left his opportunities have been limited and he was sent off to Turkey by the Scouse clown… Unai brought him back and he contributed… I’ll always be appreciative of his efforts and contributions at times during lockdown… he was a major player for us back then and it would be nice to see him back in that sort of form… I don’t think he has a future here but I do think he still has something to offer… Last year of contract… let him run it down I say and score the odd goal and show flashes of brilliance for us against weaker sides…

Hopefully just a “smokescreen” but he apparently did well on loan at Marseille… Don’t think Arsenal would offer us a decent deal anyway… Forest also interested but negotiations are “complicated”. Honestly don’t know if he’s any good but I’ll favour moves for younger players rather than older ones in general… As long as Unai gets what Unai wants…

Hopefully it’s onwards n upwards from here… again, I think Moussa can be a big help to him. No doubt a fit and firing Bailey is an asset, I think that’s undeniable. We just need to see a lot more of that version of Leon and I don’t think it’s impossible at all… Still curious as to what’s been bothering him, his body language and mood were completely different yesterday. Always good to see him playing with a smile on his face… just don’t limit that to playing at VP Leon!

Oh… We should stop dreaming about Saudi offers, there’s no interest in any of our players from there and we got messed around with the Digne situation… We wouldn’t get much for Berty… I’d rather keep him around this season then let him leave with a fond farewell and appreciation for the memories and moments of skill - he made lockdown much more bearable and really entertained. Couple of goals last season inc that beauty against Leicester… always has something to offer… Only point in him leaving is if it helps us bring in another signing… We need depth and a squad though… we will play some relative minnows in certain competitions too…

Been suggested online that, due to his celebration, he and his partner may be expecting and Phil just found out??? Johns only 19? Is he doing a Wesley?

I think Berty could be a useful member of the squad if we can get him fit, firing and back to his lockdown form (bring back the old hairstyle!!)… in the last year of his contract, we wouldn’t get much for him so may as well use him when we can, particularly against weaker opposition such as in ECL… Gives us that depth and isn’t costing us a bomb… He should be motivated to try and earn a new deal too but I’ve felt that his time is coming to a close… can he leave on good terms and leave us with more good memories?

Faith restored JV? Said you’d given up on him after Valencia… are you more encouraged now? He needs to do it in away games… can’t think of many decent away performances other than bits of skill against Man U… has contributed at VP a few times… I think Moussa is going to help raise his standards: He certainly looks happier than he has looked lately… maybe he was being bothered by a knock or personal issue…

Ah, so this was all on the player side rather than Unai/Monchi. Fair enough…
