  1. Well I'm not traveling to Wembley, but I am traveling.... Decided to take the plunge and go to the casino in the city to watch the game. 20 minute car ride, hour on the train and a short walk. Won't arrive in the city until midnight
  2. As much as it pains me I'm going to log out till near kick off, I fear I'll get sucked in by the doom n gloom and I want to stay positive for us. UTV
  3. 1. A new manager would stop us leaking so many easy goals. 2. I don't think it's individual inconsistency, its the consistency as a collective that's has been lacking. NB I still don't want Smith sacked .....
  4. Yep this is true for me, we could easily have roughly 10 more points if we weren't so naive...
  5. Honestly mate I think he is struggling to troll anyone right now...
  6. Technically they've won 3 cups and a title since I was born, more accurately I meant a cup in the time I have been a supporter. I am disappointed in myself that I forgot this prestigious silverware
  7. I don't think I will ever agree with you as much as I do right in this moment
  8. When I breath my last breaths, I don't want to recount how many seasons we spent in the Premier League. What I do want to do is spend thirty seconds or so remembering when Jack grabbed the trophy and lifted it above his head. It's that simple.
  9. I would without a word of a lie put my house on us coming straight back up if we do get relegated. Dead set! My Mrs would kill me though
  10. This is my biggest fear, humiliation on Sunday and relegation. Then the same toxicity from the a section of the fans though the club is ten times stronger. If we go down, I will be upset but not vitriolic about it. If we go down then I want DS to be given another chance, I know this is unlikely but is there any other precedent for this.... Sean Dyche stay in charge during the yo-yo at Burnley? I just want Villa to be stable and that we are now, but 4 years ago that's what brought the worst out in me as a supporter.... Now I'm confident and trust in the process, if we go down so be it. I have complete faith we won't be signing Hogan's, McCormack's, Gollini's and the ilk. I'm far more confident that we would do something much more similar to a Leicester (though maybe not to their lofty heights), we have some good people in the right positions (imho) so we will go about the rebuild completely differently and with anywhere from 100-150 million (sale of Grealish, Mings + possible other good players ((McGinn)) or multiple older and/or fringe players ) plus parachute payments too finance it. I am not concerned about our future at all. I think you used a very key word in your post 'delayed' is all it will be!
  11. Not if it's a penalty that we score! #vidiccostus
  12. For me too mate, I'd take this cup and relegation in a heartbeat. We will be in a much stronger position financially and squad wise. It won't be like last time. I think it's kind of quirky to go down in history as a club that played in Europe from the championship. Imagine if we didn't get promoted but won the Europa league
  13. So people want to know what miracle we need to best Man City..... Here goes, 1. One of their defenders fouls our player as the last man and actually gets sent off. 2. Freddie let's rip from 30 yards, it's gonna miss by a mile but takes a wicked deflection and goes in! 3. Our keeper plays the match of the century and stops everything, they have 75 shots with 37 on goal but don't score, we counter once and beat Bravo. 4. We put in a god awful cross and somehow Otamendi contrives to put it into our net..... 3 times. I could go on, but I've made my point..... As much as you can't see how we could win there actually ways for us to do it. I have put $100 worth of various bets on Villa, cos I'm not getting caught with my pants down if we win. Right here, right now if we win..... I f$#king called it! UTV!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I'm not an expert on the situation re Derby, but from what I can gather they are in trouble for overpricing their stadium to the tune of double it's worth. We have done nothing of the sort so I don't fear us being persecuted by the EFL, they should be so lucky to have us in their league. Especially if West Brom and Leeds go up.... I don't want to go down but if we do I have absolutely no doubt we will start next season in a much much much better situation then 4 seasons ago, and when we come back we will come back to the PL a much much much stronger squad than the one that will go down..... Grealish going is inevitable, and it doesn't matter whether we stay up or go down IMHO. As much as I love Jack, he'll go with my blessings and I look forward to what we do with his large fee!
  15. Mate, sometimes stuff that you didn't expect just happens.... I am absolutely clueless as to how we beat Man City, but I'm looking forward to watching how it's done in a few days. Sorry I wasn't inferring that you should support another team, I was meaning you just need to remember who are are and where we are at. Imagine if sometime around 13 months ago you'd been told we fighting to stay in the prem and in a league cup final. No one could see how that would be possible at the the time, yet here we are. Weird stuff happens all the time, I'm believing something weird is going to happen 3am Monday morning for me
  16. Well mate if you can't handle the heat go support a big club where trophies are guaranteed..... Personally I'm looking at all the positives for the big day. If you told any Villa fan at the beginning of the season we would have an excellent cup run, we'd be ecstatic, let alone make the final. Now we are there, some (I had my fleeting moment) want to concentrate on doom and gloom, and talk about how crap we are. Not for me, we are in a cup final. We are going to win, we are going to stay up and next year we will be playing in Europe. Until it's not possible that's what I'm going to believe. Now you have every right to your opinion, but I personally think you need to go look in the mirror and remind yourself you're a villa fan and get in the spirit. Otherwise Man City are always looking for new fans to help fill the Emptyhad!
  17. For the purpose of my point I had to state their name...
