  1. They are the world's largest country with a large population and massive stocks of gas, oil, raw materials and agricultural land. But they squander all of that and are a third world country of you exclude Moscow and St Petersburg from the statistics. Moscow thinks its a super-power. If it didn’t have nukes it wouldn't be.
  2. Sitting at home I get a better view, cheaper drinks, better food and a more comfortable seat. Its a no brainer for me. I'll only change my mind if they give me a shot at the Championship........extreme rules. I'm thinking of utilising a shotgun.
  3. No. These events are much better viewed on TV.
  4. Ticketmaster still has plenty at £27.
  5. These guys are a comedy country music group. Their rendition of "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas is just wonderful.
  6. As I said in my post - your questions can never be answered with any certainty. We don't even know if he knew the true identity of the person he called. But I can think of hundreds of reasons why Oswald would want to call his contacts following his arrest. But let me be clear. Oswald killed JFK. Oswald was involved with the KGB and CIA. I never said it was a CIA operation because it wasn't. Oswald acted alone.
  7. It's hard to equate this to the actions of a sane adult. Telling advertisers to " Go **** yourself" and blaming them for destroying a company that he owns by not advertising. How dare they.
  8. You Spring Murdoch. I'll put some sleeping pills in BA's milk.
  9. The rifle ownership of the rifle that shot JFK is an interesting story. Oswald's wife sold it for $5000. But she did not have it. It was still held by the US Government. The guy who purchased it from her was well aware of this. He was taking a chance that it would eventually be returned to her. The rifle was not returned on the basis that it had been purchased by Oswald using a false document. This was challenged in court and the government lost. There was no legal basis to with-hold an illegally purchased item from the next of kin. But it was still not returned. Eventually a very clever judge came up with an alternative ruling that sorted out the problem. He ruled that Oswald had "discarded" the weapon after the shooting. He deliberately and intentionally gave up ownership of the gun. Therefore it should be treated as all abandoned property. It becomes the property of the state. I wonder how much it would have fetched?
  10. I think you have hit the nail on the head. The conspiracy was not to kill JFK. The conspiracy was to cover the tracks of those who had been engaging with Oswald.
  11. I was referring to the Raleigh Call. I am pretty sure it was 2 outgoing calls attempted by Oswald. The Raleigh Call: Lee Harvey Oswald and the JFK Assassination | NCpedia
  12. I wrote an essay on the JFK assassination as part of a vocational qualification. When Oswald was in prison he asked to make 2 phone calls. These were allowed but he had to go through the operator and ask for the numbers. The telephonist was told to note the numbers but tell him there was no answer. She did exactly that. She completed the log of all call numbers as required. But she kept a rough note she made as a historic souvenir. These 2 numbers seemed completely irrelevant. They were 2 numbers of people with the same name who lived in the same town. Oswald had seemingly been unsure which one he wanted to speak to, so had tried both entries in the phone book. Neither seemed to have any relevance. Many years later documents regarding an unconnected matter were released to the public. The documents showed a CIA operative using the same name was deep undercover in the same town. But here's where the facts stop........ 1. Was the person Oswald tried to phone the undercover CIA operative?? 2. Did Oswald know it was a CIA operative or was he contacting his undercover false persona? 3. Or is this just a coincidence. 4. Can we establish why he made the call? Only Oswald knows the answers but I concluded the following answers. 1. Yes 99% 2. The false persona. 90% 3. No. 1% 4. No 100% This is a great example of a conspiracy theory. Who knows what Oswald intended to say if he had made contact ? Would anything of consequence happen subsequently? There is no chance of finding that out unless you can find a parallel universe.
  13. Oswald shot JFK. Oswald had proven connections with the KGB and CIA. Evidence was tampered with for the following reasons. 1. To disguise Oswald's connection to the CIA. 2. To secure a quick conviction. 3. To cover people's backs 4. Common Police practices at that time. Oswald was the only shooter. Why he did it, who helped him and why Ruby killed him will never be known.
  14. It could have been an elderly couple who released the equity in the house in 2018 and continued to live there?
  15. Surely we should be able to name ships of the Black Sea fleet in next year's Deadpool thread?
  16. Ostriches were too large and had the wrong number of syllables.
  17. Laxatives and sleeping tablets dipped in chocolate are a fantastic mix.
  18. I just saw a car with a home made sign in the back window. "I support Palpatine" Disappointed was I.
  19. Denmark has 12 Special Forces soldiers who patrol the far north of Greenland. A patrol lasts 3 - 4 months. They work in pairs and patrol with a sledge and dog team.
  20. @leighavfc I think you need to address your drug problem before moving forward with relationships. It's going to be tough time sorting yourself out. You probably will not be at your best.
  21. Some of the the measures I mentioned above have been implemented. Any company that holds foreign currency must deposit 80% of their holdings with a Russian Bank. Any company that earns foreign currency must exchange 90% of those earnings into rubles with a Russian Bank at an "official" exchange rate. Wow! That will give the Russian Government the foreign currency they need in the short term. But it's a real killer for any Russian company that exports.
  22. The answer given is battles listed on Wikipedia. But its definitely not. There have been plenty of battles in Australia and many are listed. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_conflicts_in_Australia
  23. In other good news...... Earleir this week the ruble hit that psychologically significant level of 100 to the dollar. Putin publicly admitted for the first time that the plunging ruble was a significant problem. It's now recovered to 96 to the dollar based upon some verbal promises made by the Russian Central Bank. Those promises include a significant increase in interest rates. They are already at 13%.
