  1. Di Matteo spoke today of playing him more inside, perhaps in a 3 man midfield. If so, he needs to toughen up a bit. Little Will Hughes put him on his arse a few weeks ago and he started mouthing off. Mans game Jack. Get used to it.
  2. Definitely needs Amavi on the overlap. Cissokho not getting there quick enough plus his end product is poor.
  3. He's better than Hutton and Bacuna. I have eyes. I trust what they see .
  4. Look we can all be experts all say what should of happened with the benefit of hindsight. Small margins between getting praised and criticised. If it stayed at 2-1 then he would of got a lot of plaudits for replacing gardner with gestede. We are playing well. Please remember how shit we were last season. Wasn't your run of the mill relegation.
  5. Any updates on his injury, back for the forest game ?
  6. I think we'll bring one more in tomorrow, maybe a loan. If we don't I'm grateful for what we've got so far. Kudos to Xia and Wyness over the last few months. Serious investment and work ethic.
  7. Not that it's much relevance but Keane won his first two games as sunderland manager as i recall. Gollini may come good but i don't think we can afford to let him learn on the job.
  8. Would ask everyone to have a look at Bristol City's first goal. At times a manager can set his team up well and tactically they are in tune but when a goalie makes a clanger well.... ok well obviously its his call now whether or not gollini remains between the sticks but it was an individual error on the pitch. Tomlin stuck a sweet one top corner. Happens. Fair to say nobody was too pissed off with how we played at derby. We move on and get ready for forest.
  9. Just seen Abraham's goal. Just awful from gollini. A nothing shot from tomlin inexplicably parried straight to Abraham. Goalie error this one.
  10. If we don't come out of the the forest and brentford games with 4 points at the very least he's under serious pressure.
  11. Abraham 4 in 6 !! Gotta be watching him tomorrow.
  12. I thought he had a good first half against derby but it sums up westwoods villa career up though, snippets of good performances but not consistently enough. Just isn't brave enough on and off the ball.
  13. I'd be fairly confident of our defence shutting them out but i think derby will have most the ball. If we click at the other end like we've be threatening to do we could wreck them. McCormack should be looking to take on Keogh at every opportunity. He's very vulnerable.
  14. Gardner and Westwood - the most uninspiring midfield duo. Haven't seen who they've gone with, presumably Hughes and butterfield. They should boss us in midfield.
  15. Oh I agree it won't be plain sailing but i do think we're putting a decent side together.
  16. What's irritating as a supporter is that we are now assembling a team that probably would of stayed up last season. We potentially have a very solid CB partnership. Hopefully a new RB. Jedinak and Tshibola would be solid, + we look far more creative than last season. But then again it's all relative. If we had to of stayed up and Lerner didn't sell we would be worse off. The old cliche of taking a step back to go forward springs to mind.
  17. 1. He scored 17 league goals for Middlesbrough in a league we're in. 2. He won't play for Chelsea. He'd of done so by now.
  18. I think the quick turnaround will suit us after this performance. Be great for confidence to go to derby next Saturday with 6 points. Huddersfield be a tougher nut to crack than Rotherham though. Wagner is a good manager. They aren't spectacular, but very compact .
  19. In fairness he was class for Everton today but yeah onwards and upwards UTV
  20. We've been here before. Just saying. Think he made his debut a few years back against Sunderland at the stadium of light. Thought he was very good that day. He's not good enough though consistently.
  21. A decent lineup. Good to see that di matteo has copped early doors how utterly useless Hutton is though Bacuna wouldn't fill ya with confidence. Green can't complain, as an 18 year old he's only going to fleeting opportunities to show he should start. Wednesday was a chance. He didn't take it that time unfortunately. Never happen to see Westwood start but again Gardner isn't great. Be hoping by the time we kick off at the iPro next Saturday evening we'll have an even different look.
  22. Think his Twitter interactions are class and very good for keeping people informed with transfers, addressing people's problems with stadium access and the website. Suppose the only annoying thing is you have guys asking him literally every 5 mins " where's the new midfielder" "you said we were getting a new midfielder by Saturday, what's happened " etc, ive seen them. Embarrassing. No other club gets a chairman that's so accessible so we need to settle down a bit and appreciate the man doing what he is so far.
  23. Why ? He's done nothing. A product of hype because he was part of a squad that played good football. When he was given chances he wasn't up to it.
