We go to elland road next week and win, let's go after them and win the game, that has to be the mentality. We'll only break serious ground if we go on a run of winning games, ffs reading can do it. Drive it on now villa.

I think Grealish could really kick on from here. Bruce has made it clear, in no uncertain terms that if you want to play for him you got to be super fit and work hard. Liked what i seen from Jack Friday night. -

What were you watching. That 2nd half was the best half of football i've seen villa play this season. We did everything but score, Stockdale saved them.

Whilst acknowledging how good Horgan is, after watching how Towell has failed to make any impact at all at Brighton, I'd air on the side of caution. Think they don't realise the jump up in levels. Saying that, Horgan is playing very well against solid European clubs.

Watching the match on at the minute I'd like to think we'd of got yacob if we went after him. Technically, he's tidier than anyone we have in midfield + he's very strong.

He does tend to sign players he's previously worked with a fair bit. Don't really want to see el mohammedy and meyler wind up here.

I just think going to the game in person and cheering the team on whilst booing a member of said team is pretty counterproductive.

On match day if you go to villa park, support isn't picking and choosing the bits the suits you. Your all in or nothing. If ya want to boo one of your own stay at home.

Knockaert will be a much tougher test than anything he's come up against in recent weeks. He's improving though and hey let Brighton worry about us :-)

Lewis Cook from Bournemouth would be a good signing on loan, can't get a look in there atm. They are stacked in midfield.

Wouldn't be overly concerned yet about the fact it's not pretty to watch. Give him a transfer window or two and then see. I thought hull were very tidy at times with huddlestone and Livermore. What's impressive is that he's getting results with essentially another man's team. Kudos .

Tshibola isn't the work horse some think he is. He strolls around when he isn't on the ball.

Middle of the park is still the area that worries me most but its no slight on Bruce, he has to play what he has. It is more of a midfield that nullifies the opposition rather than creates and gets on the ball. Again though not criticising Bruce, I don't think this is his style of play as shown with huddlestone and livermore who were good on the ball. Needs s window or two to put his mark on it.

Really ? I think defensively he's very naive. Was in no man's land when cotteril got away from him for in the build up to the goal.

Needs to bring others into play earlier on the ball instead of going it alone as he does quite a bit.

Stan sounds like he's harbouring a grudge that he didn't get a contract. Great player, absolute legend BUT even if you put the fact aside that he recovered from leukaemia, he's 37 and hasn't played at anywhere resembling a decent level in years. Villa made a business not a sentimental decision and hard as it may seem, it was the right one.

Newcastle are head and shoulders above anyone in the league. After that, gonna be a real inconsistency with the other teams. Huddersfield look to be feeling it a bit already. Like the look of Leeds I must say.

The following statement is based on zero logic but i think McCormack rips their backline to pieces tomorrow IF he starts. Just a feeling. He's very close to coming real good for us.
