  1. I think Spurs have the better run of games tbh, but they’ll need to pick up at least three points extra than us (assuming they win their game in hand). Here are the remaining fixtures: ours appear on the left of the list and the Spurs games in the right: / Chelsea - A Luton - A / Palace - H Spuds - H / Villa - A West Spam - A / Fulham - A Wolves - H / Luton - H Citeh - A / Spam - A Brentford - H / Forest - H Arsenal - A / Toon - A Bournemouth - H / Citeh - H Chelsea - H / Arsenal - H Brighton - A / Liverpool - A Liverpool - H / Burnley - H Palace - A / sheff utd - A Too close to call for me and there’s a long way to go.
  2. Watkins is enjoying how they’re playing him. Relishing the battle
  3. Hendrie: ‘Unai Emery must be over the moon’ *camera switches to Unai* *doesn’t look content* man is a machine
  4. A word on McGinn’s whipped in cross and Cash switching the play beforehand. Fantastic
  5. Hendrie on Elanga: ‘he stretches those legs open’ What you watching, Lee?!!!
  6. I took a course in town called ‘angry Spanish guy 101’
  7. Two v intelligent footballers. Probably playing in silence after drawing tactical outlines in the style of Monet. So classy they should be in a museum
  8. I wonder if Digne was saying something disrespectful about Forest or not taking it seriously and Emery wants more professionalism even from the bench
  9. Nuno wearing the Forest pyjamas they gave him when he signed
  10. Unai ball. Strategically moving the ball around the pitch, waiting for spaces and then just playing simple passes to get the chance. Superb.
  11. Bizarre refereeing so far. Forest are v physical in the centre of the pitch
  12. Admits that when he got his first pro contract with us that he was being a bit of a lad on the town. Also noted that he fell out with the game before coming to Villa. Seems focused and confident now. The last bit sounds like he has half an eye on leaving TNS if he keeps going the way he is. On yeh, and one final thing: At first I thought the subtitles were to help Cymraeg speakers understand his Midlands accent
  13. Well, fair play anyway! Hope the sort of VT accountability is helping! You’re doing something right that’s for sure
  14. Superb work. Genuinely inspiring and really pleased to read your updates. The key is the lack of guilt thing: you’re at a good place atm, so a bit of fish and chips here and there should be something you can have without your world tumbling down. I’ve lost about 12% of my body weight this year through better diet and running. Back to where I was about 15 years ago. The big thing for me now is eating without guilt: I’ll binge occasionally and it’s okay. Reading your experiences helped kick me up the arse so keep it up. (No Kenneth Williams gif needed)
  15. Is there a chance that some of those players like Sanson and Coutinho (maybe Digne) going in the summer that this will free up wages a bit to give us sufficient FFP breathing room? Or is it more about us recouping transfer fees, so needing to sell someone like JJ?
  16. It's funny because he rarely strikes the ball fully but his placement of shots is so good that he can stroke the ball into the net. Likewise, his headers are usually little glances. I'd love an insight into what he's like to defend against: his movement is clearly fantastic. At his best, he moves defenders out of position as well as making them think if he's going to take them on, cut back and shoot or lay the ball off. Then there's his ability to mix it up with defenders in the air.
  17. There will be interest in him in the summer.
  18. I have no idea how any of this works so my first response is to get defensive, insist that we’re paying our way, and that other clubs are doing far worse things. Unfortunately, if we’re being truthful, I think this is how most fans reflect on FFP - it’s utterly unfathomable and pulling clubs over the coals for it will create so much resentment that it’ll fundamentally change how people engage with the game.
  19. Confidence is low but he has massive massive ability. He’s in the right place with us.
  20. Pattern emerging today: In the first half, Pau was a real difference maker. Tired in the second half. Bailey is such a dangerous player but also tired as the game progressed. Ramsey was v good in the first half but tired. Tielemans, fabulous assist, gassed after 55min.
  21. Where’s Aubrey Edwards when you need her? She might have better controlled that final half an hour
