  1. Rodgers to similar to Tim (albeit better) No to Moyes or Pearson I quite like Dyche but too relegation tinged for now. Would take Sam short term. Would be ok with an experienced manager from abroad - think that would work well with our squad. (as long as it's not the cheese worrying magath). They would need to have been in a fight though. And obv Tim out first.
  2. Given Tim's current pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey approach to formation and selection, I fully expect Kozak to feature soon. Perhaps in a defensive midfield role.
  3. It's fine, but if you are cutting yourself measure twice (three times), cut once. Older windows may not be exactly square! As above - super clean windows and plenty of liquid. The positioning is quite forgiving as long as you have the size right.
  4. Drugs are bad m'kay, Danishlad.

  6. Blimey - that was an unexpectedly competent first go. Only one way (the Villa way) to go from here...
  7. Came to post the exact same...What is the point of waiting any longer - dead man walking.
  8. @TRO - TBH - I thought Jonny was completely wrong about that. In an uncanny parallel that has ruined my last 2 saturdays, Lancaster is also out of his depth, has no idea about his best formation or tactics and the muddled thinking has come through in results. England could and should have beaten Wales, Villa could and should have beaten Stoke. They should both go.
  9. It's ridiculous. The training field is the time to sort out your formations - not match day. He's had pre-season with most of the squad, 8 weeks of matches and an international break. Even if everyone hasn't been fully fit we should be playing to a plan and seeing the new players adjust to their roles. As it is no-one has any idea what's coming next in the starting line-up - it's no wonder the players keep making mistakes as they're trying something new with different players around them. It's never going to work.
  10. We're going to be spanked. Costa hat-trick, Ivanovic header. There is no point in being defensive. May as well go full on attack.
  11. Staying up this season of all seasons is a must. Compensation to Sherwood and whatever backroom staff etc pale into insignificance. I didn't want Tim, but respect the job he did keeping us up, even if it wasn't by much. Over the summer the players coming in seemed exciting (if pretty much unknown to me) and the squad seemed to have a better balance. Defence looks as though it should be better overall - but isn't performing. Down to Sherwood. Midfield now has defensive and exciting attacking talent. Surely this is how he wanted to play, yet week in, week out we see the attacking talent marginalised. Forwards - was always going to be harder to fill, but we're not playing to the strengths of who we have bought (Rudy) or have no faith in them (Ayew). Up until a couple of weeks ago I thought we were maybe unlucky not to have got a couple of results and our position was false. Even now, we've 'only' been losing by single goals. What has completely sent me over the the Sherwood out camp is the lack of any vision of where the team in going - formation, tactics, subs - all woeful. I expected a bumpy season, with some big losses, some big wins - kind of what we're seeing Leicester achieve - really attacking with loads of belief, even if not the talent to always pull it off. The starting line up for Stoke was the complete opposite and shows he's lost any confidence in himself and the players. No point in wasting any more time. Every other team bar Sunderland and Newcastle have shown that you can get results anywhere this season. It's not too late to sort out and I think we have a squad that can do it. Not with Tim though. Time to get in the f'ing sea.
  12. De Boer?? Klopp?? Hahahahaha Mourinho might be free?
  13. Enough is enough. Time to go Tim. Thanks for keeping us up, but you don't know what you're doing. If there was any consistent vision being worked towards I'd be hopeful but every week there's another formation, another line-up - no coherence. Taxi!
  14. Have suddenly and inexplicably become optimistic about this game.
  15. Is he going to get some game time at all - not inured is he?
  16. The attack needs to be 2 dimensional, which I'm not sure it is yet. Feed Rudy with whipped in crosses (not just hoof it up to the big man) but if/when he's being marked out, use the space that creates for Gil/Grealish/Adama/Ayew to get onto. And vice versa, get the attacking mids pulling the defenders away to give Rudy space to attack the ball. He's shown he can score given the service but we have to offer variety to get him the space. Too often we seem only to be able to play to one plan at a time (and it was the same with Benteke in there). TBH I don't much care if the rest of his game is pretty average if he scores 1 in 2.
  17. If Gil doesn't feature at all, I'm jumping on the #sherwoodout bandwagon. (unless we win 4-0)
  18. pffft. There's not really any hope these days.
  19. rubberman Palace 2-0 WestBrom Villa 1-1 Stoke Bournemouth 1-1 Watford ManCity 3-1 Newcastle Norwich 2-2 Leicester Sunderland 0-2 WestHam Chelsea 1-0 Southampton Everton 1-0 Liverpool Arsenal 2-0 ManUtd Swansea 1-1 Spurs
  20. Looking at our fixtures through to the end of the year, I reckon we'll muster 18 points, bringing us to 22 from 20 games - exactly the same as last year. Mind you, 9 of those come from the last 3 matches in December (and when did we last win 3 on the bounce?), so after 17 games we'd be on 13 points (against last year's 20) and would be where Hull were in 19th. Already the next three months look squeaky bum. If we can get back out of the drop zone at all before Christmas I think we'll be OK, if not eek. Having a strong December and January is vital. Sunderland, Newcastle and Bournemouth to go, Stoke and us to be nervous.
  21. God I hope it's not your first side...
  22. Yep. And England to win in the egg-chasing. I can't have another Saturday like last weekend. It nearly broke me.
  23. I've said elsewhere, but I don't expect ever to see all 3 of Gil, Grealish and Traore at the same time. They are all young and will need looking after so should be rotated depending on form, fitness etc. They will also have lumps kicked out of them by the more agricultural sides. Ideally I would like to see 2 of them feature every time though, with the third on the bench. We desperately need the spark they bring.
