    Holy mother of god I just looked at wbas fixtures. I thought hull had the worst run in but I suppose the baggies didn't count on losing at home to Leicester. At least we can approach games with some confidence, they'll be looking back all the time. Jesus if they aren't mathematically safe after Newcastle they are pretty much stuck for two games and all they can do is pray. Sweet.

    I think people are expecting some slick passing performance from him. He's a stopper. He breaks things up and closes down space. It's no coincidence Eriksen was so quiet today and Kane was dropping deep all the time. They just couldn't find space between our midfield and defence. He did a good job even by standing in the right place when the Spurs players were looking for a free man. You need to take the ball off him though when he wins it. He will give it away if he has to try play his way out. I like him. I think there's a lot to be said for having a big lump in front of the defence.

    Talk of teams on the beach is naive to be honest. Even if chelsea or arsenal were on the beach they still have enough to beat this sunderland team. In fact even if they were dressed for the beach,flip flops and all, id still back them.

    Give out all you want, we're lucky to have him. Versatile and scores important goals. Will never be anyone's favourite player but he's very useful.
