My understanding of the Ki situation was that wages were ridiculously high, and he wanted win (or goal, can't remember) bonuses that would make him even worse value. If he'd have scored that goal for us at the start of the season it would have come to something like £75-80k for the week. Never going to happen was it?

"Dross" and "Tripe" I could count on one hand the amount of times I've heard the former said in my entire life but on here it's basically used as punctuation by some. As for tripe, I actually feed it to my dog every day and I still seem to see the word more on this forum. Don't get me wrong, people can write whatever and however they like, but Christ.

As if the captain was ever going to be someone other than Rooney. Would be nice if England managers finally realised that pandering to overpaid underachievers doesn't actually keep the fans happy, although no doubt the sponsors and the media are creaming themselves.

Well he's no Luke Shaw, obviously. Maybe he hasn't been approached because Utd have made it pretty clear they'd rather make marquee signings for positions they're already competitive in than address the obvious deficiencies in their squad. Probably because it would involve being a bit more utilitarian and having to sign one or two "unknowns" like Vlaar, which as those RedCafe quotes show, will go down badly with a fanbase whose expectations have no bearing on the situation they find themselves in.

Vlaar's sale would be Fox's remit wouldn't it? If he's even half the smooth operator we've been lead to believe, letting him go for anything less than £10-15m would be madness imo. That's assuming Manure even make a bid, which as others have already said, seems less and less likely with each passing hour.

Well exactly. I wonder who senior BBC execs, government ministers, senior police figures in however many different authorities, reporters, MI5 etc were worried about offending for the last 40+ years, because history tells us it certainly wasn't the Asian community.
