    Rather derby get a result than Norwich pull away. Would have been nice to sit in top 6 but means nothing yet. More teams in the mix the better.

    Preston won’t be able to play at this intensity all game. I think we’ll pick of them off second half. Just get to half time without being behind!

    If in the next 7 games we are able to play on the front foot and at the same intensity as the majority of games with Smith in charge. Some teams could be in for a spanking. I know it’s never that simple though.

    I think they have 6 first team players out so even with our injuries there is just no excuse for not winning this. Has to be 3 points and if results go our way we could find ourselves in the top 6. Although id prefer Derby and Norwich to draw.

    I think Nyland will be more than happy to be a number 2 at a club like Villa. He wont get a bigger move.

    We had 59 points and were third last season with 14 games to go. Would be incredible if we could repeat that.

    I thought Tommy was poor first season. Second season he finally got his chance with Terry, Samba and Jed all injured and he played 3 games keeping 2 clean sheets. His reward, shipped out on loan. Bruce just didn’t fancy him.

    Apparently they have another injury crisis. Something can’t be right with the way they train with the injuries they always have. This should be a comfortable win.

    I personally thought he played quite well in the 3 games he was called upon last season. 2 out of 3 clean sheets against top 6 teams. Not sure what else he could have done.

    They are being exposed more that’s all. How many times did Johnston bail us on with match winning saves last season. Yes we are a lot more open now and it’s great to watch. But it’s also shown our defenders aren’t good enough if we want to play this way. Having said all that they were poor for Bruces 12 odd games too. Maybe we are missing Terry and Jonstone more than people appriecate.

    McGinn is different gravy mate. As he gets older and more intelligent in his play. They’ll be no stopping him.

    I like Hourihane. I think sometimes fans expect to much from him. He ain’t no Grealish or even Mcginn. But he is a top Championship player.

    Especially when some of our plus points such as Abraham and Mcginn are down to Bruce. The way he left the defence was criminal and the actions of a man on borrowed time. No getting away from that. Its like working a notice period. You’ll still remain professional but will never give your all or really get bogged down by problems because you no sooner or later those problems will no longer be yours. I think this was Bruce when the owners let him keep the job. His payoff was always the ultimate prize.

    If he is fit I wouldn’t mind seeing him in the team as a defensive midfielder. He reads the game very well.

    Can only assume he was very confident of getting the french kid or McKenna in assured Elphick he could go out on loan. When those deals fell through he kept his word. (Plus knew he would get his big pay off anyway so why start breaking promises).
