  1. I disagree Tro. I’d argue they did but we set up to counter that and play on the break. The other games we set up to take the game to the opponents hence leaving massive gaps. We are struggling to get the balance right against teams on our level and the so called better teams. A work in progress maybe?
  2. According to google translate it says **** Man City, villa is the only club for me. But on a serious note it says this Shining in the Villa! The Brazilian midfielder has an excellent season, both in the Premier League and in the national team, and already speculates about a trip to Manchester City next season.
  3. Terry was a scumbag in his earlier years. It was pretty much common knowledge.
  4. Nah they’ll get snapped up I’m sure of it. I’ll be trying to get one anyway.
  5. I got a feeling he will play a big part this season. He is coming back to a better more settled team without the pressure of being number 1 striker. Looking forward to seeing him return.
  6. Fair point. I was just thinking about the bigger grounds. You’re right that ideally they should wait until all fans are allowed back in.
  7. Yeh in terms of news worthiness I agree it’s not a big deal at all. I meant more in terms of the offences themselves. I misunderstood your post mate.
  8. Im probably being biased and naive but I believe Terry’s version of events.
  9. I doubt 2k fans will roar the home team in too much.
  10. I don’t agree it’s not a big deal. It kind of is and he should be punished the same way anybody else would be. But I don’t think anything should be done to affect his performances for Villa and that includes taking his captaincy away. No point punishing the club and fans as well!
  11. Mcginn managed to support him in the 3 away games we won. Changing Luiz Isn’t going to solve all of our defensive issues. We need to defend better as a team when we are trying to break teams down and lose the ball. I’m sure we will.
  12. Teams like Southampton, Leicester, West Ham and Palace are established Premier League teams. Each season they can add a few players to an already good team. We’ve had to pretty much build a team and a squad from scratch. From the team that started on Saturday only 2 were at the club at the start of last summer. All this whilst ensuring the wage bill complies with a championship season of revenue as part of the FFP spending. Considering where we were and where we are now I’d say both the recruitment team and coaching staff have done an incredible job. Of course they have been fully backed by the owners too.
  13. Good point. If it’s not us the outrage would remain the same. Just for different reasons.
  14. Teams are coming to villa park to stay solid and hit us on the break. If we do the same at home you’d end up with a dull affair most likely decided by the odd goal. Id take it to be honest.
  15. I think he’s just a bit stupid. Slap a ban on him and he might grow up a bit. Love him as a player of course.
  16. I have to admit I would like us to approach home games the same way as away games regardless of opponent. It will probably end up leading to dull draws and wouldn’t be fun to watch but whilst there is no crowd there it might be the best approach to getting more points on the board. When the crowd is back there is no way they will accept us sitting back against the likes of Brighton, Leeds and Southampton.
  17. Fair point. I guess after nearly quarter of the season has been played we’ve seen that we along with Leeds and Southampton will compete with most teams and should easily survive relegation. Newcastle on the hand I think will struggle in most games and will be down their come the end of the season.
  18. I have to admit it’s why I stopped sitting in the Holte end. (That and my s**t eyesight).
  19. True but I look at games on paper where we need to be picking up 3 points as we are a better team and Newcastle is one of them along with Fulham, Albion, Burnley and Sheffield United. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna flip out if we don’t beat them but I would be disappointed.
  20. I look at the next 2 games and I’d say a point at West Ham would be a good result but we should be beating Newcastle at home with or without Barkley. They are shit.
