  1. So basically win we played well, lose we played bad. Got it mate
  2. Really? Didn’t you think we’d signed a quality keeper when you saw how gutted Arsenal fans were?
  3. He took up the Barkley role today and did it well. Can’t wait to have a midfield of him Luiz and Barkley again.
  4. Fair points. He does get a lot more support from Jack now.
  5. He seems like a player that needs to be completely 100% confidence and on his game to excel. So could take longer than we hoped. In the mean time he is still a decent squad player.
  6. He is one of the most improved players from last season for me. Defensively he is a lot more switched on now. Attacking wise he links up really well with Jack and whichever centre midfield is supporting. I love how he try's sneaky disguised passes in to the box rather than just whipping the ball in at any chance. The triangles played out wide look like something we have worked on hard. It’s really effective.
  7. The best thing about this season for me is we are competing in every game regardless of who the opposition is. Every game is difficult in this league but for so long in the top flight we all knew before kick off what the result would be in certain games. Beating Arsenal, Wolves, Liverpool and Leicester goes to show that trend has finally been reversed!
  8. I think it’s complete madness fans are even suggesting we are in a position to think about replacing him.
  9. I thought he was good today. His slide tackle after Martinez spilled it saved us conceding a goal. Shame he only gets remembered for one mistake where he got disposed by the half way line.
  10. I thought we got a little lucky today that our keeper was motm and some of their finishing was poor. Had just one of those wolves chances hit the back of the net the opinions would be completely different even if the performance was the same. I actually thought we were better in terms of deserving to win the game against both Brighton and West Ham. Goes to show it’s all about the result.
  11. Good point. I think Luiz does a lot without the ball too though. He breaks up a lot of the opponents play and reads the game very well. I guess you’d expect Nakamba to do the same it’s just no way near the level of Luiz. Maybe Smith will go with Hourihane.
  12. Against Burnley you would expect us to have a lot of the ball so it’s probably an idea game for him to miss out on.
  13. I think he’s such a top player and one of the most important in the team. He’s involved in everything and his pass success rate was 100% today. Will be a big miss.
  14. I’d say since he joined the only goal you could really fault him for was Leeds first one. Apart from that every goal has been pretty much unstoppable or very poorly defended. He’s earned us 3 points today and if you also count the Sheffield United game it’s 6 points this season thanks to his goalkeeping.
  15. On Villatalk unless you’re Jack Grealish the lower the number of pages the better you are .
  16. Imagine we had a player like a Podence on the other side. Jack gets crowded out whenever he gets the ball but I do wonder where are the players it leaves free?
  17. Oh yeh. Forgot about the Thursday game. They will be missed. Hopefully Barkley is back.
  18. Yeh let’s make a position where the squad is weak even weaker. Makes sense.
  19. He gets a lot of stick but he’s got balls for the way he finished that. I thought he was gonna miss!
  20. He was booked for the shirt pull mate. He did it really quickly.
  21. He gave a soft yellow card to Luiz early on and then after that was a free for all. Matter of time someone get sent off. Terrible refereeing. At least he was consistent I guess.
  22. We played well but lucky to get the win. Yet in the last 2 games there is no way we should have lost! It’s a funny old game. Martinez fantastic. Well done Ramsey. No Cash and Luiz next game. Hopefully as it’s against Baggies we should be ok.
  23. Yep , if we want to compete at the top end of the premier league we have to pay the rates. I think the only problem is we are still hindered by the FFP 3 year rule so still can’t compete with teams such as West Ham, Southampton, Palace and even Brighton in terms of wages. A couple more seasons in this league and it will be interesting to see who we are able to sign.
