Delighted with this. I've never heard of him but that's the fun in it I suppose. I'm not worried about a buy back clause. If he is happy here, playing every week and Barca come back in for him he's not going to led away in handcuffs and shipped back to the Nou Camp. As I say if he's happy and playing regularly he can turn them down. Unless Barca promise him a starting spot I think he would stay.

we could throw in a player and that will suit them. Do we have any French players that we could dispose of Charlie N'Zog. Would probably have to subsidise part of his wages though, that and he probably wouldn't be interested in moving anyway.

Can I just state I was not having a dig at the player just comparing with Benteke's situation when he was at Genk and they played hardball over the fee. I believe player is in the right and the Lorient is in the wrong. A fee was agreed, the player traveled and Lorient decided to stick two fingers up at us and jack up the price. Bad business.

Work permit issues? I don't understand how Firmino can join Liverpool with no issues even though he is has lived in a EU state for a shorter period of time and has less international appearances than Gueye. Gueye has been living in France since he was 17. I know he doesn't have a French passport but it should still be taken into consideration the length of time he has lived in the country and contributed to the public purse with his taxes.
