With Vlaar and Cleverley looking likely to be going elsewhere I genuinely think we need to spend 10/15m just to stand still and double that if we want to start pushing up the league. Sadly Lerner will give nowhere near the required amount and that could result in a disaster next season. Wouldn't even be surprised if Tim walked after finding out how much Lerner is willing to spend (presuming It will be 5-10m like usual).

In reality we need 4/5 quality players who will go straight into the starting 11 and improve things. What we will get will sadly be the complete opposite. Tim will have to try and sign 6/7 players with a 10-15m budget and that it the reason we are being linked with Swindon and Brentford players. While Lerner is still here we will only go in one direction and I think this summer transfer window will show this is the case again sadly.

I think Randy doing that interview shows nothing is in the pipeline or looking likely this summer, he wouldn't do an interview about plans to appoint a new chairman if there was any sort of deal that was anywhere near close to being done. Just hope he invests, otherwise another awful season will be on the cards

Artur Boruc is a free agent in the summer, wouldn't be a bad signing on the free! he's 35 but can still do a job for a few years! My personal choice for goalkeeper next season would be Jonathan Bond from Watford, only 21 and has a lot of potential

I officially give up! what must fans of other teams think of us? It's gone beyond embarrassing. The whole club is a mess, There is teams in league 1 and the championship paying 2.5m for players. Sadly under Lerner and Lambert we are no longer run like a premier club behind the scenes. Not really bothered that we are not getting Sinclair but its the fact that in this window you see all teams around us strengthening and improving then there is us. Shows how far we've fallen when teams like Stoke and Swansea are bidding for players such as Shaqiri and then there is us struggling to pay 2m for Sinclair. Its beyond a joke. The club is slowly dieing and we will soon be relegated if this continues. rant over.

In no way am I defending Lambert but it must be frustrating targeting players such as sissoko,Holtby, Tadic and Coutinho then ending up with Sylla,Tonev and Helenius. I agree Lambert needs to be gone asap but that wont automatically fix everything. It is crucial the club is sold or relegation will be certain in the next two seasons. In this league you need to spend to survive. We need a new manager and chairman in asap.

Some of the fans on here are pathetic. The fact is we paid a high risk fee for Delph when he was a teenager. We kept faith in throughout his injuries and now that he has had 1 good season he wants out asap. How anyone can blame the club is beyond me. He was offered a new deal worth big bucks and turned it down as he thinks he is now bigger than the club. In my mind this is the ultimate betrayal from him and I've lost all respect for him. Personally don't want to see him wearing the club shirt again. Unloyal, greedy and thinks he id beyond avfc. Get rid.
