    Not sure if he had lost it or not, but I am sure he isn't the right type of striker to play up to on his own. If Bruce is going to play that way on a regular basis we are best off selling him and getting a loanee to cover.

    Yes we need to get rid of him before all the other clubs realise the same thing. At the moment he has a reputation built from Bristol City and the first year for us. Good time to sell as we might get 8-10m.

    Just to put the mcginn hype in perspective... Shaun maloney made history by being the first player to win Scottish and Young Scottish player of the year before he came to villa. Look how that turned out! I hope he does well but there is a big gap between the leagues.

    It's irrelevant if they are 30 or 29. The point is he signed a lot of players who have little to no sell on value. Also the ones Bruce did sign with sale value are worth less than we paid as he never plays them. Everything he does squashes the smallest shoots of growth in the club. He is like a dementor from Harry Potter ?

    Apparently the Mina deal has collapsed, so unless Man U find a replacement Axel probably isn't going anywhere. Even if he did come in and we are desperate for CBs, no doubt Bruce would play him at RB to compete with the other 10 players we have in that position.

    We are still not set up as a modern club. Both Randy and Swiss Tony acknowledged the need but both made half arsed, amateurish attempts to do it. Hopefully the new guys get it right... Right people, right approach and right strategy. Fingers crossed!

    I don't think spurs will be willing to pay what we are looking for,especially as Grealish would only be a squad player for them. They were keen when they thought they could get him in the cheap for £15m but, if push came to shove, now I think they would be very reluctant to pay double that.

    These are largely wingers me jack plays ACM. Show me the goals for lampard, Gerrard, Scholes and even the mighty Tim cahill during his Everton days. Bet its a lot more than jack's 3 a season. An effective ACM should be able to get at least 10 goals and JG is a long way off.

    From the transfers we are doing and players linked to, it appears the new owners are trying to buy young players with potential. Hopefully we can get a progressive, experienced DOF to bring it all together into an effective, coherent long term strategy.

    I think us fans sometimes put too much emphasis on individual players. It's a team game and 1 player isn't going to make the difference between promotion and not. Grealish contributed 3 goals last season and didn't assist many more. If we got 30m for him we can clear the shackles of FFP and maybe buy a couple of young stars who will turn us a profit in the future. This is probably more use to us going forward than hanging onto Grealish.

    What a ridiculous rumour! Who the **** is going to believe it?! We might have new owners but they still need to appear to be complying with FFP. Very much doubt a) we can afford to and b) the player would come when there are many top flight clubs who would take him.

    I reckon the jerknalists and /or papers are getting paid by betting companies to come up with crap rumours to stimulate bets. Now suddenly Chelsea are in the running to create a betting race ??. I'm pretty sure Grealish will still be a villa player come September and the poor punters will be lighter in their wallets.

    I just watched an interview with Edens when he first took over the Bucks. He said he wanted the stadium and surrounding areas to be a place where people could hang out even when games weren't on. Looking at the surrounding areas today he clearly has a lot of work to do, but any hope of getting our villa theme park should be encouraged! ?
