  1. What does he want? First team football? He can get that here, but he has to look interested. Enjoy his football? He can get that here, if he puts some effort in and looks a part of the team. Move to a bigger club? Then you would think he would put in a display against the bigger teams like Arsenal or Liverpool.. The thing that winds me up the most is his disinterest is seemingly reasonless. Bench him until he's willing to fight for his place in the squad.
  2. I'll treat not signing Cleverly as a signing.
  3. This is a good point. With everything that's happened recently, with yesterday's thrashing, our lack of goals, etc.. We just wanted a day of F5 smashing and a little hope. Who the hell does David Ornstein think he is?! Coming in here, with his lies, and trying to see how low we can go. Well screw you, Ornstein! The BBC is dead to me.
  4. The screens should show Sky Sports, so we can watch football there.
  5. I've waited years to say this... ... Villa have attacking options. Welcome, Scott!
  6. We're linked with good players in the press! This is a new kind of Villa transfer window. Raise the banners!
  7. Yes but the Turkey super league is nowhere near the same standard as the Premier League. You take that back.
  8. And that the badge sucks I agree. We need more of this:
  9. Still bangs 'em in and almost has as many goals this season as our whole team. We're not in a position to turn our noses up at a proven goal scorer. I'm on board for the right price.
  10. OK, so here's where I am: The club has made a statement backing Paul Lambert. That's fine and at the end of the day, that's their choice. I've said for a while I don't think he's the right man for the club, but this now means that the club aren't planning to remove him. So in my eyes the only thing left to do is get behind him and the team. I still don't think he's the right man for the club, but they've made their choice and I'll respect it. That's done for now. Lambert's not going anywhere, so the in-fighting has to stop. For now, I'll set my frustrations aside, hop on board the Lambert train for a bit and see where it takes me. Might even enjoy some football along the way.
  11. Jesus, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Still a way off, and who knows what might happen. That being said...
  12. There isn't a lot for a Villa fan to be excited about at the moment. Painting half of Wembley claret and blue would change that.
  13. She kind of reminds me of what I'm sure will become an overused GIF. Edit: That didn't work. So here's a teaser.
  14. Well what can I say? The talk of the future, lifting the team and the fans, the journey and the commitment. What a guy! Why go anywhere? Here he has first team football and aye, I'd bet my right one that he's been promised the captaincy, and rightfully so. When he focuses, he's a great player and he's been offered the chance to lead a Premier League team up the table. Of course there's probably a relegation clause, but who cares? I'm pleased. I think we have Mr. Fox to thank for mostly. Good bit of Villa business.
  15. Not long now! What should I do? Do I pray? Should I make a small donation to the Greg Dyke New Yacht fund?
  16. The next time we see Randy at a Villa game, it'll be a bronze erected by new Villa owner Mohamed Al Fayed for his loyal services to AVFC.
  17. I thought it was a brilliant second half, a great goal and it felt really good to see the team win again. They seemed to enjoy it as much as the fans. Could just be another Lamblip, though.
  18. Blackburn away. They always struggle against us. Especially in cups.
  19. Yeah, whatever you did after that would impale into insignificance. Are we back on the fish puns? Nah, I doubt anyone will take the bait! There's always Kwan. .. It appears I'm in the wrong place.
  20. Fans are now more clued up to the fact that any victory under Lambert is simply a one off. We've been burnt too many times by big wins being the "turning point of our season"! Now, they're just a blip in our normally abysmal year.
