Can we all just get behind whoever's waiting in the wings? Every manager has their problems, but we've been so divided the last few years it'll just be nice to all be behind a guy for once. Even if it only lasts the first half of a miserable 6-0 loss to Stoke.

Yesterday I would have been happy with Sherwood. After all the reports and articles from Spurs fans however, I'd still bloody be happy with Sherwood. He only had a short time in charge and I saw passion and energy, exactly what this squad needs right now. I'll judge him by his actions in a Claret and Blue gilet.

From BBC Sportsday: "Bolton boss Neil Lennon stops short of ruling himself out of the running for managerial vacancies elsewhere. According to some reports, he is on a shortlist to become the new Aston Villa boss, but Lennon said is his news conference this morning: "There is nothing in any of the links to other clubs. It's just speculation. It's flattering but there is nothing in it."

Nah, but he did that thing where he threw his gilet that one time, and a load of people made jokes about it on Twitter so now everyone's scared he might do it again and then there might be more jokes on Twitter. Or something. Screw the Twits, I'd love to see that level of passion coming from our corner.

Has Sherwood killed a kitten or something? I haven't seen any reason to dislike him.. He can manage the ego's of some of our stars, get our house in order. He's young, hungry and passionate. I'm all for him proving himself over the next few months at Villa.

Odd feeling. I hope he goes on to do big things. Even now I wouldn't say no to him coming in as our DoF. It's a great shame that he will probably never know we actually liked him! He just wasn't right for us.

Would love Prandelli but I just can't see us thinking like that. I honestly think we're fixated on Sherwood and something's already set up. He's been at our games, he hasn't gone to QPR (yet). I can just see it lined up.

Oh god no, this has just reminded me how embarrassing I thought Sherwood was. No thanks!!! As a Villa fan, that level of passion from the dugout confuses me.

Haven't been here yet. Didn't think there was any point speculating while we were still stuck with Lambert. Now, however, let the good times roll! I'd take Sherwood on a temporary.
