We are dreadful, actually shockingly bad. How have we spent so much money and not assembled a bench that can cover the centre back position? Why on gods earth do we have so many full backs? Why do we insist on just booting the ball aimlessly at NO-ONE. Whelan is the biggest culprit of this. Especially when you being on two strikers under 6 foot, PLAY IT TO FEET FFS. Why did we take Snodgrass off for a FULLBACK? I'm beyond angry, this is dross and we are in danger of sliding into horrendos form and not recovering. I am not confident JT will come in and change our fortune so drastically.

I think we can all agree in the fact that performance was gash. Can't defend a manager who plays a deep lying midfielder up front on his own.

Our full backs are a real weak link, they are so painfully slow....johnstone was the saviour today. A missed opportunity.

I see what you're saying, but our strikers seem to be playing mostly in the physio room this season.

Bruce does reward players that come on and do well, it's why Hutton is still in the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see both players start after their sub performance last week. Feeling good about this one boys, love beating the Millwall!

I agree with this. I think that with Kodija returning he will take a significant portion of focus from the oppo defenders, which in turn will help Davis as you mention. The question is then how do you incorporate them together in a 4-5-1, without sacrificing the midfield. I guess the obvious choice would be onomah, but does that leave us a bit lightweight in the midfield? When we've played 4-4-2 we've always looked a bit flimsy down the middle, Whelan and Jedi cannot play in a midfield pairing.

Very impressed by the confidence he had to take that shot, alot of players would not have...especially coming back from injury. He's got a strong mentality, very pleased to have him in the dressing room.

We conceded away from home, and fought back very well. We are a tired and depleted team missing our key players...jack and Henry both look like they will add value in the next few weeks. Very happy with this result, we rode our luck but equally we were good value for the point. A draw away from home against a side like leeds is always positive....Onwards and upwards.

Definitely, it is a world cup year after all. Players like Wilshire need to go out and get game time, it' just a question of if the championship fits the criteria for them.

Solanke on a short-term loan would be excellent, technically very good, can make play the ball, and a great finisher.

I can see your logic, but i think you are over-simplyfing it. I would point to guardiola last season, who tried to play his brand of football but didn't have the players. Yes, we have brilliant players, but it's very difficult to say that they can set up to play Nuno's style when these players have played English-football their whole careers.

Agreed, I can't remember the last time we had such great squad depth. This is where we have a big advantage over December and January, I feel very good.

Try and enjoy football mate, it's a form of entertainment after all. In reality it's unlikely that villa will hit form like this again for a long time, so after 5 years of watching utter dogshite..just take a day off and smell the roses.
