  1. How far away is he from game time, do we know?
  2. I hope the team rallies around Bruce this weekend and give the gaffer a proper performance, saddened by the news.
  3. Please remember the lad is only 20 years old, he has 6 years until he starts the "prime" of his career. This is his first taste of first-team football isn't it? Give the lad time to develop.
  4. Naa, we have Davis and Grabban on the bench..no need for 3 centre forwards to come on.
  5. It's a brilliant idea, i've also tweeted it...hopefully we get a response.
  6. Apparently they were, but Grabban heard he may get a permanent move to another club and asked Bournemouth to re-call him. As much of a merc as that makes him sounds, that Sunderland team is toxic.
  7. I've already put him on suicide watch.
  8. My housemate is a die-hard Sunderland fan, and he is very impressed that we have him. Rates him very highly at this level.
  9. Villa are going to win the league, and England are going to win the World Cup. It's happening.
  10. We will play the same starting XI, and quite rightly so. I think we will just have too much for the Blades today, they are not the same outfit as the beginning of the season.
  11. There is more of a chance of Hutton scoring a hat-trick versus the blues than RMC turning this around.
  12. You're right, but we have to work and deliver the results required from our salary no? If you negotiate a fat salary, surely you recognise the expectations that come with that and behave accordingly? Getting overweight, refusing to turn up to training and then moving to a joke of an amatuer league. Everyone expected more and he knew this, but instead decided not to apply himself. The same as Lescott, Richards ect.
  13. He did negotiate his wage packet though, which is a whopping £45K a week. Richards is on £50K.
  14. I think he listens to his coaching staff, who probably share alot of opinions with the fans. After all, we all watch the same 90 mins. I also think that Bruce and his team deserves credit for the changing it up. He's been stubborn with his selections at times, but recently this hasn't been a problem at all. If this form continues till the season's end, i will rate him very highly.
  15. Definitely, imagine being a tired right-back and seeing either one coming off the bench...it'd be enough to make you cry.
  16. I'm sorry but i can't agree with that in the slightest. When he plays on his favoured side, he is our highest assister (see last season). When he plays on his weaker side, he's our top scorer. He drives at his man constantly, so i'm not sure what instances you refer to when you say he slows down the attack. When he came off the pitch injured at Brentford we offered literally nothing going forwards. They are both very similar players in my eyes, both very direct and drive towards the box. Yes, that means they will lose the ball many times throughout the game, but when they don't it usually ends up with the ball in the net. But i do agree with you in the sense that Green will have a wonderful career, a very talented player for sure.
  17. "Cant think of any striker I'd rather we signed less." Damn. http://www.motforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34838&start=180
  18. Bjarnason: “This is much better for me (DM). I am not a winger who dribbles past 3/4 defenders. In this league, wingers are often supposed to do that and the coaches want a lot of creativity from them. It is much better for me to be more involved in the midfield.” #avfc https://twitter.com/villareport/status/955465661790158848
  19. This is the most confident I have been of us being promoted since we got relegated, and I think this is only the start of our good-form.
  20. I'm sure it's been pointed out already, but it certainly seems Bruce wasn't lying when he told us he was building the team around Grealish.
  21. He's bad news, keep him away. "lavisa Jokanovic had considered re-signing McCormack on loan, but his players didn't give him positive feedback. The club sold McCormack to Villa for £12m in the summer and looked to be one of the favourites to sign him in the January window. The paper writes: "McCormack was understood to be a disruptive influence last season, despite being the club’s – and possibly the division’s – best player." https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-fulham-12499893
  22. Isn't Remi Garde managing in the MLS football league now?
