Who do people suggest placing Bruce? My personal opinion is that he has failed, but I also think we need to keep a manager in place until the financial aspect of things is firmly secure.

I think the board recognize the value Jack brings to both our promotion chances and the engagement from the fans. I can't see the board working so hard to get the fans onside, to them kick them in the teeth by selling the poster boy after failing to be promoted.

I really do not rate or understand the Bruce tactic of having 3 strikers on the pitch whilst we are trailing. We should of taken control of that midfield when they were reduced to 10 men, but simply couldn't. There was a moment where jack was breaking forwards down the left-center and all 3 of our strikers ran in a beeline to the penalty spot and we lost the ball. How many times have we won from losing positions in the last 18 months? I can't recall many at all.

I think you have to remember alot of the younger Villa fans cannot remember a time when we won games such as this, or even played in games such as this. Let the fans have their enjoyment, drink in the moment and live the emotion....these nights are the whole point of football. Every single player played for the shirt and Bruce today and busted a guy, after doing the exact same thing for 90 mins two days ago. Massive.

I am sure that Brighton and Huddersfield fans had similar concerns, and both have survived. I'd bring Grabban in, the lad has done well since we brought him into the side.

To be completely honest with you, I would...albeit in a very respectful and constructive manner. I'm also sure that Bruce would be the first to admit that he hasn't finished where he aimed to either. I'd also thank him for the excellent job he has done in terms of squad harmony and club morale, because as you eluded to it is easy to purely provide criticism without looking at the big picture.

Of course the game isn't played on paper, but there certainly has to be a benchmark of expectation from somewhere...how else can you set expectations? You mention Leicester, I think the entire world would agree that they over-performed with that squad. If you can over-achieve on paper then you can under-achieve. There have been individual errors this season, as all teams/squads experience..but is that the reason we have lost so many points, especially against sides lower down the division? You mention consistency, but surely that is a process that must be managed, I refuse to believe that consistency is achieved on the luck of individual errors. You mention some of the best players in the division would get into our side, and of course they would. But we are talking about a squad of 24 players no? I would say that as a squad of quality and depth on paper is in the top 2 of the division, and therefore has performed under it's capabilities this season. Now there is a debate to be had in-terms of if changing manager would achieve the consistency performance-wise we need, but it is indisputable imo that we have underachieved..and I am sure Xia most likely agrees on this to some extent.

If you look at the players we have on paper, this squad has underperformed. Of course, we can argue the reasons and variables that has caused it, but that statement is true.

I was actually at the game, we had so many injuries...Adomah even came off after 20 mins and we had an attacking trio of Onomah, Hogan and ELMo. Difference is now we have basically everyone back, and Kodija is looking sharper by the week.....Imagine a starting front 4 of Kodija, Grealish, Snod and Adomah on that big wembley pitch.

We can beat any team over two legs (except Fulham), and will beat anyone on that big Wembley pitch (except Fulham). Feeling very good about this.

Burnley are 5 points off the top 6 and haven't overly invested. If we get promoted I am confident we will invest well and stabilize, before climbing up over a few years to be the level this club should be.
