  1. :? I thought we were giving marks out of 10 on our transfer dealings now, not at the end of the season? Sadly, my clairvoyance classes have not yet fully honed my skills in this area, so unfortunately i'll just have to rate this summers transfer dealings on how i judge then right now, and not in 9 months time.....
  2. Hope you read that from my previous message, because i think somehow you missed it. you missed this bit, and apart from the appalling grammar, there was no need for you to add this: seems a bit odd to me, that you say he is entitled to an opinion, but then say he is talking crap. I think he has some valid points. I only gave our summer dealings a 6. If we are looking for Top 4, which I think we might be, then i think we've maybe come up a little short, personally. I'm quite happy, especially with Milly, but 6 is about if for me, I'd we'd have got a decent striker in too, i'd have been putting down an 8, I think.
  3. ditto, although from a starting point of 9, the lack of a striker means a drop to 6 from me. Milner is a forward ian, no? :winkold:
  4. Indeed. Marly was at the very least trying his hardest IMO. He's just not that good. and yes, The Fonz made his debut in the away leg.
  5. yes, even then. Halsey has a bit of history with us, my man.
  6. Fair enough. It's one of my favourites. Mine too. A noble art, and great sport. for any sport that requires a certain degree of technical ability/skill, judges/refs are required, and they will undoubtedly influence/determine the result. doesn't make it any less worthy IMO.
  7. yep - good analysis Barry played like he wasn't there today, IMO. Not the Barry of old. Good job Stan was on the ball.
  8. really Bri. Totally different types of player for me, and MON's dogged resistence of Liverpool's Barry advanvces would indicate he plans to use both, in the same MF i would guess. For me, Sidders is more of the Gerrard type, getting box to box and being the more offensive player in the central MF. Barry would compiment him well IMO. I think if anyone is squezzed out it might be Stan/Coker.
  9. this is scary in terms of a possible increase in the interest rates. certainly no chance of a cut this side of Xmas, IMO. And a very real possibility of a raise ....
  10. chubby chaser! :winkold:
  11. 12 is good, 14 good too. for me, it's all about curvaceousness and how Big the girl is. marilyn Monroe had a great figure IMO, and she was about a 12 to 14. some woemn can be fat and 12 or 14 and look bad, others are simply bigger/curveier, and look fantastic as a 12 or 14. but, i much prefer curvy girls to sticks
  12. BFR Hugely entertaining. and if he's dying on his arse, he might even throw in a few racist gags to spice things up a bit ....
  13. not necessarily Roberto. 80% may say that they have. Whether they actually have or not, one cannot know for sure .... fact :winkold:
  14. This is one of the best things I have read on here, that mirrors more or less exactly, my feelings on the long term direction of the club nice one Blandy apsolutely spot on, that article, as usual, Mr Bland. 8)
  15. Well yes, but the title is are you happy 'at the moment', so I presumed that meant with the current dealings or lack their of. indeed it does, which is why i said "not just" summer transfer activity. That means you include it, but it is not the only factor. so, i've included it in my thoughts, but have decided I am still happy for others, it seems to be an overriding factor.....
  16. indeed. a totally different question, and one which would, at the moment, illicit a very different result, i would guess.
  17. very wise words fella. IT matters not who we sign/don't sign. Results on the pitch matter, with the players we have, and MON has proved superb in that regard. I'm happy to back him to do that again ......
  18. Oooooohhh! how close. My vote has just tipped it 51% "Yes". Taking EVERYTHING into account, and not just summer transfer activity/inactivity, then Yes, I am a pretty happy bunny. We have a great owner, a great manager, some great players, and are in 'Yurp for the first time in a good while. so, plenty to be happy about. Just be nice to sign one or two more decent players, that's all.
  19. of course not. You get the missus to do the shopping ..... 8)

    New neighbours

I'm quite private and not all that forward, so i wouldn't go out of my way, but would say hello etc if i bumped into them. But, i think it would be a nice gesture to do it. so, i don't, but i think maybe i should.
  21. I'm quite scared now. My tenants have just given me their month's notice, and i can't afford to pay 2 mortgages for any length of time. I'm not a landlord by choice either. Couldn't sell my falt for a decent price 9 months ago, and saw an aprtment i wanted, so had to remortgage my flat to raise an advance and let my flat out. tenants are now offski, so i either need to get some new tenants in, or sell sharpish, for what would be a very sh*t price. Not good. Damn you, property market!
