  1. Oh yes, I see why MM doesnt post on here anymore... Some ex players know nothing, you are right. However, some who are involved at the club on a day to day basis do. I am not pretending to be in the know to credit for anything, in fact quite frankly I couldnt really care less. Last post on here, not interested in getting into a pointless debate.
  2. Just to confim, I am not saying I have heard Moyes has signed a contract. However, I am told 100% that it will not be McCleish, and until Moyes officially rules himself out of the race, I am still in hope. What does seem strange, is that no links with other managers are being discussed in the media but the one of McCleish. We have stated that we don't want Mark Hughes ( apparently ) , so I am still confident that talks are on going with Moyes. I know nothing more than this that is worth talking about
  3. Guys I am working on a large charity challenge with a few ex players based on European Cup history. Is anyone considering giving a marathon a shot soon ? If so , I am in desperate need of runners for marathons between Octoboer and May next year, all over Europe Being Villa fans massively helps from a PR angle
  4. Absolutely As soon as the whistle went and the scum bags ran onto the pitch, at us I might add, there was panic with some Villa fans. People rushing down the stairs to the exit, causing some crushing. Others, the majority, stood still and said " actually no, I am not being intimidated by these cavemen " . Those that stood their ground were pelted from above with coins, and from the pitch. Standing your ground is human nature, and I for one blame the low life animals from accross the city for this.
  5. Thanks to this being thrown back in here, we only managed to get 6 interested and therefore will not be taking up on the box - sorry to those who PM'd
  6. Villa Talk stretches my social networking abilities - Twitter looks far too complicated !
  7. Just about yes - must admit I questioned the " VIP " parking !
  8. Hey guys, I have an option on a box in the Railway End ( away end ) , and have until Tuesday night if I want it. It is costing me £1000, and fits 10. I have 6 places left. Some of the reasoning behind it for me was the safer way in for my Dad. Anyway, £100 per head , meal, drink, program. Will do it on a first come first serve. ( Mods I have put this in the SHA thread but getting little traffic - if I don't shift it then I won't rent the box )
  9. Hey guys, I have an option on a box in the Railway End ( away end ) , and have until Tuesday night if I want it. It is costing me £1000, and fits 10. I have 7 places left. Some of the reasoning behind it for me was the safer way in for my Dad. Anyway, £100 per head , meal, drink, program. Will do it on a first come first serve. ( Hope this is the correct place to post mods )
  10. Chris, No need to apologize....you buy your ticket, you are entitled to say your say. My only point is that 2 years and 704 posts on this site alone is a wee bit more than PR work. Particularly for someone who is on 4 boards and does a huge amount of travel and consulting. Time is hard to come by. I don't know what I can say to ease your concerns that I haven't already said. Money is NOT an issue. Wage structure is NOT an issue. MON KNOWS Randy will NOT say no to him...he has NEVER said no to him. Finding and obtaining players from other Clubs...world-wide...to take us into the top 4 is NOT as easy as finding and obtaining players who will move us to the top 10. You can believe that or not...your choice. We work EVERY day at strengthening the squad both in numbers and quality. The idea that you, or any fan, think that they know better than MON what the squad needs is just unbelievable to me. Football is his life. He knows we need a keeper...he knows we need a right back...he knows we need help in the middle of the field. Geeeez!!!! Do you honestly believe that he is sitting on his ass watching all this happen and not taking action. Did it ever occur to you that getting players is not just a matter of offering money? It is very complicated and becoming moreso. Hi General My concern two years ago when we had this conversation, was that the guys who " bleed claret and blue " are having us on for a bit of a PR ride. Id just like to ask today, whether the above ambition is still the same? How the 5 year plan is doing, and where you see the club in 2 years time. To a neutral, the club has lost its best two best players in the last two summers - both English. The club has also lost Martin, who is regarded as one of the best managers in the game. Why? Is the ambition really there, or is it a bit of seat selling marketing scheme? If seat filling is what we need to do, then my marketing advice would be to go out and lure a top european manager, and get him to bring a top european player with him. Double launch with the new kit and bobs your uncle, you have a few more seats sold.
