Brilliant set up by Deano. We had the better chances throughout, but the result could have gone either way. MOM: Was close between Cash, McGinn, & Douglas Luiz for me, but Dougie just edged it for me. Also, we need to have a category below "Very Poor" on the referee performance ratings for "Mike Dean" because he once again showed he's the worst referee in the Prem. You just knew after we scored that he'd award a dubious penalty to Man United within minutes.

Great first half. Once again, Smith gets it spot on tactically. If Targett or Watkins had put one of their brilliant chances away, we'd be ahead. We've frustrated ManUre and they're starting to resort to diving. Expect to see it increase as the game goes on. Mike Dean has been quiet so far... but this is what scares me the most.

I still think he is best to bring on as an impact sub, but he's had another good game today and is looking like a contender for a starting spot now.

We had more chances, made them look lackluster the the point where they had to bring on Mount and Lukaku to try to threaten us, and ultimately lost in a penalty shootout to the world's most expensive goalkeeper... You make it sound like we played the entire youth team, got our teeth kicked in 10-0, and completely threw away the cup like O'Neill in Moscow.

I love this kid. Bags of pace, skill, and determination. He will push ahead of El Ghazi in the pecking order before the end of the season.

Reminds me a lot of Watkins. His floor is that he'll have a solid career as a good striker in the Championship. I think his ceiling is becoming Ollie with better finishing. Bright future for this one.

He is best running at players, not playing with his back to them. We've also been spoiled by years of watching Grealish consistently win free kicks for a lot of the same challenges put in on Buendia.
